Bobby jogged up the steps to Alex's house and pounded on the door. It felt like his heart was pounding as hard as his fist was pounding on the door. He knew from her phone call that she needed him and if she didn't answer the door it was because she was unable to. Bobby pulled out the key she had given him for emergencies and slipped it into the lock.

Flashback

Bobby was stretched out on the couch watching a show about classic muscle cars on television. His cell phone rang. It played the theme song from the show cops, the ring tone he had assigned to Eames' numbers. He answered it with a grin on his face. "Miss me already Alex? It's only been..." He heard her scream and then it sounded like her phone dropped to the floor. Bobby could still hear Alex in the background.

"Stay back! Don't come near me! Bobby! Help!"

"Eames" Bobby yelled. "I'm on my way!" He didn't know if she could hear him but he had tried to yell loudly enough for her to. In less than two minutes he was out the door and on his way to his partners rescue.

End flashback

Bobby unlocked the door and slipped in carefully with his gun drawn and ready. "Eames?" He called out as he crossed the living room.

"Kitchen" she called back, then he heard her say as he approached, "You should have run when you had the chance. Goren's here now, you won't make it out alive."

When he came around the corner into the kitchen he found Alex sitting on the counter with her knees pulled up to her chest so that her feet didn't hang off.
"Where?" He asked

"In the corner by the table."

"AH" Bobby put his gun away and pulled out his switch blade knife. He opened it and hurled it at the intruder. It was a direct hit in the chest cavity. Bobby walked over and pulled the knife out of his victim and wiped it off with his handkerchief before putting it away. Reaching down, he picked up the mouse by the tail and headed outside with it. Alex stayed where she was until he came back although she did relax her legs and let them dangle. Bobby walked back over to her when he came back in and wrapped his arms around her to help her down. "Why don't you get a cat so it can eat the mice."

"Because your allergic to cats." She replied just before pulling him down for a kiss.

A/N: OK I don't know if Alex is afraid of mice and wasn't where I was planning on going with this when I wrote the first part and the flashback but like most plot bunnies it snuck its way in there.
