Warlock of Sin. Arc 0: Conrad of Lugnica

Chapter 1: Where it all started

A/N

Hello, ChristianRed here! Otherwise known as Red. This story is a part of the Warlock of Sin series and will cover stuff from the past, four hundred years ago, and what happened in Ella-chan's time as a normal half-elf. It covers why she despises pandora, why she's so insecure around Subaru, and why Dona hates the shit out of her. This won't be as long as Warlock but please enjoy! Now to ReviewR.

Right so yeah, like Red said, this is gonna be much more shorter than Warlock, chapter length might not even reach my normal 3k words per chapter, expect a third of it or lower. Even though, I'll try to make it long enough so it isn't too short that it leaves you unsatisfied.

Expect around 8 to 12 chapters, no prologue, no epilogue. It's gonna be written First Person - Satella's POV / Second Person - Conrad. Updates will take place after Forgive me [Remade] is done, this is kinda like a sneak peek you can say? The first scene is directly taken from the ending of Warlock of Sin's third Arc [Canon, Arc 5].

I sit there atop the ruined building, contemplating about the past I've experience centuries ago. A past so pitiful that even a lowly pig couldn't help but feel sad for me. Let's go look into this past of mine, and see exactly what my sins were, and why I got the title of Satella - Witch of Envy.

Four hundred years ago, I remember it very well, the first time I met you. I was alone in the forest, lost, scared. Our village was under attack by some terrorist and I had fled amidst the chaos, but I just lost my way in the process. "Somebody… please help…"

Before I knew it, I was being pursued by two of them. I knew my way around the forest but fear got the better of me and I made a wrong turn which messed up the whole track.

I tripped on a tree stub and grazed my knee on the forest's floor, letting out a small cry as I try to drag myself up. I've left my weapons back at home, the only way to defend myself now was to use my magic, which I just learned.

"There's the half blooded brat!"

One of them shouted out. I pulled on a branch and got myself to my feet, "Please… dont-" "No chance we're letting an abomination such as you live!" He swung his very large sword at me, which I ducked to defend myself from. The hilt of the sword dug deep into the bark of the tree, making it stuck.

"Shamak!"

I shouted, black smoke, shrouding the two of us. I struggled to get up but managed to pull myself away. I stammered in my steps but it was for nothing. "El-Dona!"

The ground shook and collapsed under me, only to shoot back up, making me roll on the ground, I stopped beside a large rock.

"Die…"

The other man, who wielded and oversized battleax said with a devilish voice, "I wonder how much a half elf's head would sell for?" I shivered and closed my eyes shut, afraid that I was about to die there and then, but that was when you came...

"Ul-Fula!"

An insanely strong gust of wind blew past the man, making him falter in his motion and miss his swing.

"What the hell was that?!" The man turned around with a sour look on his face, and that's when he saw you, that's when I saw you. A young man with a strong facial features. Striking green hair and soft eyes, a look that screamed kindness. By your side was a beautiful woman with long white hair. Donning a black dress, a book in hand, she glanced at him annoyed.

"Ah, looks like I missed…"
"Geez, I told you to aim properly or your it's gonna blast somewhere else!"

"You shit heads trying to stop me?!"
"Pretty much"

The man picked up his battleax and pointed it at you two, "Then die along with the brat!" He rushes forward but the two of you were gone in an instant, "The hell they-" A fist was slammed straight into his face and he was thrown off his feet, "Aim first then chant, "Ul-Fula!" a ball of wind formed on the ground where the man was about to land, and it burst with such force that he went flying straight for a tree, getting knocked out instantly.

"Well, that was easy…"

The other one that was being occupied by my Shamak a few minutes ago was now in a defensive position, his knees trembling, "So there was one more? Well, do you wanna take us on or…?" "D-Don't you forget this!" He scrambled away, dropping his weapons. The woman turned around and sighed, she then looked over to me and said, "You really shou-"

"...?"

"S-Satella!?"
"Dona-chan!?

The two of us stared at each other, both shocked and a bit dumbfounded. "O-Of all the people… why is it you…" She said with her hand on her face, I giggled a bit and smiled at her, "Thanks for saving me again, Dona-chan… ah, thank you as well… uh…"

"My name's Conrad, nice to meet you" Finally I looked at your face, and I was shocked beyond compare, your face, as handsome and a brilliant smile, as bright as the midnight moon, or something like that. You came up to me and extended his hand, I shyly grabbed it and you pulled me up, only now noticing that I had an injured leg. You pulled my arm over your shoulder and helped me stand.

"So, Chi-chan, she your friend?"
"Well, I guess you can say that…"

"Ah I-I'm S-Satella Nice to meet you!" I stuttered in my words while I bowed down to you. Echidna sighed and looked over at me, "What happened? How could you lose to a bunch of lackeys like these?" "Aha… you see…" I say while twiddling my fingers, "I kinda just woke up and everyone suddenly told me to run and… stuff happened…"

"So these guys were trying to kill you? What's with that?"
"They're similar to terrorists, but they target half-bloods, some racial discrimination at play"

Echidna tells him, "They normally come in groups of four and target specific people, but once one of them falls, the rest flee like cats and mice, seriously…" "Well, then we should head back to the village for now, yeah?" We nodded and went off, I looked deep into your eyes, and I'm sure that's when I fell in love with you.
