The One with the Casting Part 2
Joey is rehearsing for his Broadway play. Phoebe and Chandler have come as his audience and supports.
"Joey, we need you to dive a little deeper and express yourself more," said Claire, the director. "We need you to put a little of your personal qualities into your character to properly express yourself."
"Uh OK," Joey began. "I am always hungry. I live in an apartment with my friend Chandler. I go on a lot of dates. I am not very smart but I know what important stuff is like how to open a carton of milk. Oh I can also drink a gallon of it in 10 seconds, you might wanna write that down."
"When you are acting, Joey. Oo and Mark, write that a gallon of milk thing down that might be useful."
A beautiful girl steps into the theatre and approaches Claire.
"Rose. Glad you could make it," applauds Claire.
"No problem. I kind of need a job at the moment anyway," said Rose, sounding not very excited she got the part.
Claire climbed onto the page and walked to Joey.
"Joey this is Rose, she is your love interest in the play."
"Hi," smiled Rose putting her hand out.
"You're Victoria in the play?" asked Joey shaking her hand.
"Yes," replied Rose rolling her eyes.
Rose flicked her auburn hair, leaving a sweet smelling vanilla scent behind her.
Oh my god! Chandler mimed at Joey.
I know! Joey mimed back.
"Anyway Rose, take position on the stage. Let the rehearsal begin," Claire boomed through her megaphone. "Action!"
Rachel is at Barney's for a job interview.
"So, Rachel, what was your last job," asked Maria, head of department.
"Uh, I was a waitress at Central Perk," answered Rachel.
"Why did you leave?"
"I had to leave. It was just a temporary job until I found a new one."
"Ah, right ok. Sorry, Rachel, I recognize your face. Have you ever had a wedding or something…Ah! That's it! Were you marrying Barrie? It's me Maria! I was going to be your sister in law but…"
"I think you got the wrong person Maria," Rachel began.
"No, no, no, Rachel Green right? You ran away and left Barrie at the alter."
"Sorry, Maria, I just remembered I had a doctor's appointment. It's very serious."
But before Maria could reply, Rachel was out of the door and hailing a cab.
"Guess I'm not working at Barney's then. I can cross that off my list."
