Start of another story! The Last Story and Resonance of Fate crossover! Based on my perception of the characters from Project X Zone and my own personal preference so this may not be accurate!
I sighed heavily. I'm no closer to finding them… Then again I wasn't exactly expecting it to be- My thought process was interrupted by a high-pitched scream. I sprinted towards the source as fast as I could. When I got there, I saw a boy probably about 8 or 9 years old with light brown hair, he was bawling. Across from him were a group of men who looked to be bandits. They each had knives out.
"Don't you have better things to do than bully little kids?" I said with an air of confidence, walking beside the boy, pointing my gun right at them. Then I smirked as an idea came to mind. I don't even need to touch them. This world that I had gotten myself into obviously didn't know anything about guns, so if I scare them a bit…
"You're quite confident little boy!" One of them said trying to restrain a cackle. Better not to draw this out… I fired my machine gun in the earth to purposely miss but made it look like I was trying to hit them. They all hit the deck. When the firing stopped, they rushed upright and ran off as fast as their legs could carry them, screaming all the way. I smirked again. I knew that would work. I turned my attention to the little boy, hoping I hadn't scared him to death.
"That was AWESOME Mister! Thanks a lot for saving me!" Looks like I haven't. I was wondering what the heck he was doing being on the road right in front of the town in nighttime. This area wasn't far enough to have monsters but is still dangerous.
"You're welcome, but can you tell me what you're doing here?" I asked.
"Oh, I came looking for my twin brother. He didn't come home last night…" The boy replied his face making a saddened turn.
"How about I look for him once I get you back home?"
"R-really? You would do that?! Oh, you're the nicest mister ever!" I smiled.
"Let's go then."
…
By the time we got back to his house it was dawn but none of his family was awake when he got there. I set him off there. I thought that some people would be awake by now so I should be able to ask around about his twin. Even though I had tried to push it out of my mind the thoughts of him getting kidnapped or worse flashed through my brain. Why you would let a kid that young out by themselves is beyond me. I walked over to a place that looked like a marketplace. The space was filled with stands on each side. A woman was putting foods on a stand while there were others doing the same. It looked like they were getting ready for the day.
