She felt the warm heat on her back as she relaxed in the sun. Her hair was tied and out of her face, a sleek, modest bathing suit covering all necessary areas. Hermione cherished these peaceful moments by the pool, letting her worries slip away as the sun tickled at her pale skin. Every month the Weasley women would take the day off from their jobs, their kids, their husbands, and relaxed together for some much needed rest.
Hermione opened one eye just enough to watch the scene unfolding in front of her with a half-interested smile. Fleur was lying a few chairs down, her bikini clad body putting models to shame. The man who stood before her looked flustered and nervous. The sweat that poured down his face had little to do with the heat. Hermione watches as the man stutters and mumbles his way through an illegible sentence, and finishes by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him. Hermione chuckles and, with a look to Ginny, she calls:
"She's married!"
Fleur showed the man her ring and said a soft 'sorry' before he walked away. The others just shook their heads.
"This happens to you every week," Ginny scoffed, as small smile formed on her face. Fleur just shrugs and walks off towards the change room.
The others lay there listening to the chatter if the pools, when suddenly a loud shriek disrupted their tranquillity. Hermione sat up, looking in the directions of the noise when –
SPLASH
Water sprayed across the Weasley woman. Angelina squealed as the water wet her towel and clothes, Ginny looked away in time and the spray caught her back and hair, her mouth forming a perfect 'o'. Hermione gingerly looked at the surface of the water, waiting for the perpetrator to emerge. As he did, Hermione groaned. This was just like him, to act all nice and then do something as evil as this. Hermione shook her damp hands and yelled,
"Draco!"
With a smile Draco exited the pool. Hermione now stood with her hands on her hips, her face scrunched into a frown of disapproval. Her chuckled as he approached her, his hair dripping and his hands mimicking hers.
"Oh, hello Granger," he seemed so proud of himself as he walked towards her. Hermione still glared. "Did I accidentally get you?" he asked. Hermione tried not to smile as he put on a childish voice and whispered, "I'm sowwy."Finally breaking, Hermione slapped his arm. Her eyes lighting up as she looked from Draco to Ginny and back. As she was distracted with Ginny, Draco took the chance and wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pressed his chest to her side, trying to transmit as much water as possible. Hermione yelled out in surprise. She laughed and smacked his arm once more.
"Draco, you swine!" she joked playfully as he tried to drip water into her hair.
Hermione was forever grateful that Draco had left the dark-side and allowed their relationship to develop.
"Thanks for not being evil."
"No problem."
