He saw her walking from far away and couldn't help but be awed by the way she walked, and the way it seemed everything she touched turned to gold. The next thing he knew a man walked up beside her and slipped his arm around her waist and they began walking. "Oh crap she has a husband, " he thought "they're coming this way... act normal..act norm--." "Why Liam Anderson its me Will Masters. From law school," he practically shouted walking over to his old best friend.
Liam gladly took Williams outstreched hand, "Well I'll be darned," he said, "its been what? At least 10 years? How's life been treating you man?" "Well I have to say, not as good as it seems to be treating you." Liam's wife blushed, "Honey aren't you going to introduce me?" Liam stepped back and smiled, "Will this is my wife Elizabeth," she smiled at William and he couldn't help but undress her with his eyes, "and this.." he said pulling a little girl out from behind her mother is "Amanda, my daughter."
The little girl looked up at William and then looked back at the ground shyly. She was a spliting image of her mother. Blonde hair, with slight curls and crystal blue eyes that seemed to dance with mischief. William bent down and smiled at the young girl. "Why hello there hunny. What's wrong?" she giggled, "Nothing, Mr. what did my dad call you? Oh yeah, Mr. will." She outstreched her little hand and grabbed a hold of his bleach blonde hair, "why do you die your hair mister?" Elizabeth laughed and pulled her daughter away. "Honey stop being so nosey"
Willaim laughed and stood up. "Elizabeth" he said slowly, "do you think I could take your husband out for a little while. You know like a reunion?" She shook her head yes. "Just make sure he's home before 11 o'clock we have some unfinished business," she winked at her husband then smiled at William, "Nice to meet you. I hope you and my husband have fun tonight," and with that she kissed her husband on the cheek and walked hand and hand with her daughter back to their motel room.
1 week later
William had hoped to see Elizabeth again but not at her husband funeral, and not when her daughter had just been diagnosed with cancer. He listened quietly to the service never taking his eyes off the beautiful blonde with the somber look on her face.
If only William hadn't taken Liam out that night to the bar. If only a drunk driver wouldn't have hit him on his way home. If only.. there were alot of if only's in her life. She gave a quiet hug to all of the mourners as the service was concluding and they all offered her their condolences. "A lot those will do" she thought to herself and sighed.
She looked over at William and wanted to cry. It was all his fault her husband was dead. It was his fault that she was alone and has to now raise her 8 year old daughter all on her own. And with no job, no money it was going to be hard.
When William approached her and gave her a hug she knew she was going to have to do something and quick. She would make William pay, dearly. She would marry him and use him for his money. "Oh yes" she thought to herself, "vengence is sweet."
