Link was resting on a tree, his eyes may have been shut, but he was listening, and paying attention to even the slightest detail. Midna looked over to him, "he looks so peaceful." She thought to herself, as Link lay there lightly smiling. He opened his eyes and looked at Midna, his blue meeting with her amber spheres. Before the both of them realize it, they had been staring into each other's eyes for quite sometime. His smile had turned into a full grin as she blushed at him. "Your eyes are very pretty Midna." Link said with his grin still intact. "Yours too…" she said as she sheepishly stared at the ground blushing even more. He got up and walked over to her, then sat down next to her. He put his arm around her, and pulled her closer. She looked up at him and smiled: her face completely red as they stared into each other's eyes once more. "You love me, don't you Link?" Midna asked. Now it was Link's turn to blush. "well, umm, yes but, " He paused for a moment, then spoke up again, Link rarely ever talked, and when he did, Midna enjoyed every word he said, even if it wasn't anything at all." Yes Midna, I love you…" he smiled, caressing her cheek with his hand. "And do you….. Me?" Link asked. Midna then smiled, leaned in and whispered into his ear:"Yes, I do Link, I truly love you as well." She leaned in and hugged him, resting her tiny frame against his. He wrapped his arms around her comfortably, as she let out a yawn. "Looks like someone needs a nap!" Link said. Still hugging, she said to him in a sarcastic tone, "Me? I'm the one who needs a nap?" With that she pushed away and looked at him. "Yes, I suppose I need one too." Linked laughed, and then said to her, "Would the little Imp like to sleep with me?" She gave him a smile, "you bet she would." Link then laid down a blanket on the ground. "After you my Princess." She giggled then lay down on the ground waiting for him. He then began to remove his hat, sword, shield, and his various Items that helped him during he and Midna's quest, until all he had left on was his under garments, which consisted of a small T-shirt, and what resembled Pajama pants. He then got out the other blanket and placed it on top of them. They both lay on their backs staring into each other's eyes as they did before. He then draped an arm underneath her, pulling her closer. She rested her head on his chest; he was emitting warmth that drew her close to him. He leaned in and kissed her forehead, she closed her eyes until he released, and went back to his spot. "Link…." "Yes Midna?" "Kiss me." He then leaned in and kissed her on the lips, and when they met hers, he felt truly relaxed, not a care in the world. It was a rare sensation for a Hero of the lands to feel. She too was completely relaxed, even though the weight of two worlds rested on their shoulders; it was gone in an instant as their lips connected. When he pulled away to catch his breath, she pulled herself closer to him, their bodies against one another, in a warm embrace. "You know, I think I like you this way more than when you're a wolf." "He chuckled, kissing her once again. They eventually fell asleep in each other's arms, come morning Link was the first to wake. He caught them fish in the stream beside where the slept, made a fire and started to cook them. In all they're time together, Midna had always slept alone, refusing to take a blanket from link, and she was always cold. But that was their night together, and when Midna awoke, she was truly happy.
