They don't need you.

You're a fraud.

A lie.

Tears traces paths down her cheeks, leaving spider-web cracks along her skin. Her body shook with agony, her powers going haywire as she battled with her thoughts. She could still see their faces, still feel her heart shatter as they were killed over, and over and over again. One after the other.

You did this to them.

You hurt them.

You're a monster.

"No…" She sputtered, hands covering her mouth in an attempt to silence her cries. "I-I'm not. I swear! I'm not a monster!"

But you are.

You are the monster.

You are the menace.

A particularly heavy sob left her form and sent her forward, back hunching even more than it originally was. She didn't want this. She just wanted to fit in. She wanted to be happy.

Monsters can't be happy.

All they do is cause pain.

Monsters ruin lives.

A hand flew out in front of her and she screamed, sending a lamp on her bedside table shattering against the wall. Her sobs were no longer silenced as she raged. Nobody would hear her. And if they did, who would help a monster?

Pack your bags.

Run away.

Save them from what you are.

She stuffed a small bag with essentials and morphed her clothes into something darker. Something that no one would notice. Something only a monster would wear.

They

Don't

Need

You.

And her ship's door closed with a bang.

Connor,

I'm leaving now.

But don't worry.

I'll always love you.
