Hello everyone! This is my first story so...Please be gentle. Or at least let me get a bucket to put out the flames. Please tell me how I can improve! Thanks! I own NOTHING! xxx
Sif slipped on the wet grass and collapsed on her side after taking a hit aimed for Loki. The young prince dropped to her side quickly after killing the enemy. "Oh Sif... What have you done?" He asked with a sob, pressing on her wound. Sif smiled sweetly at him.
"Don't you fret, M'sieur Loki, I don't feel any pain.
A little fall of rain can hardly hurt me now.
You're here, that's all I need to know.
And you will keep me safe.
And you will keep me close.
And rain will make the flowers grow."
Loki shushed her gently and hunched over her, shielding her from the rain, wishing he could shield her that easily from death.
"But you will live, Siffy, Dear God above.
If I could close your wounds with words of love..."
Sif sighed forlornly and placed his hand, sticky with her blood, on her face.
"Just hold me now and let it be.
Shelter me, comfort me.
So don't you fret, M'sieur Loki, I don't feel any pain."
They both sang swallowing back sobs.
"A little fall of rain can hardly hurt me (you) now."
Loki kissed the top of Sif's bloody, muddy, wet head.
"I'm here."
She smiled and whispered weakly.
"That's all I need to know."
Loki let his tears fall on Sif's perfect face as her heard her voice get weaker and weaker. Her breathes quieter and shallower.
"And you will keep me safe.
(And I will stay with you)
And you will keep me close.
(Till you are sleeping)
And rain
(And rain)
Will make the flowers
(Will make the flowers...)"
Suddenly Sif grew heavier and her eyes dulled. Loki choked back screams and sobs.
"...grow."
Sigyn kneeled beside him and put her hand on his shoulder.
He shrugged her off. Loki didn't need- no, didn't WANT his wife right now...
Loki needed... And wanted Sif.
Only Sif.
Two days later, Asgard buried Sif and Loki, side by side...
How Loki died... It was never known.
