I'm a little fuzzy on Vampire Knight, so if I made any mistakes, I'm sorry. This just popped into my head and I wrote it in a few minutes. I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.

Yuuki watched the snow swirl against the darkening sky. Christmas at Cross Academy was genreally a quiet and blasphemous affair, but Yuuki had been hoping that maybe-just maybe-Kaname might visit, but that hope was lost amongst the falling flakes. The eleven-year-old knew she had to get to bed soon, and she was just getting up when she heard a rough pounding at her door.

"Come in."

Yuuki had known Kaname wouldn't knock like that, but nonetheless she felt a brush of disappointment when Zero appeared in the doorway. She felt bad for it immediately after.

The boy stood there, looking hard and sullen as usual, but Yuuki saw that he was shifting from foot to foot, anxious.

"Hey," Yuuki said, when it was clear Zero wouldn't be the first to speak.

Zero stopped shifting to scratch absently at the brand on his bare neck. Despite the cold night, he was both bare-chested and bare-footed, and his hair was messy and beaded with little pearls of water from a shower. It was a sight Yuuki had seen countless times before.

At length, Zero grunted and tossed something colorful at Yuuki. Yuuki caught it, surprised. It was a bright blue plush bear. Zero must have seen the question mark in her eyes.

"It's pretty stupid," He shrugged, "but I though you might like it."

And with that he made to leave.

After a moment, Yuuki grinned, "Merry Christmas, Zero."

Zero said nothing, nor did he turn around, but there was a smile on his face as he shut the door.
