Good Choice

This story was actually inspired by a dream I had once. Though of course I twisted it a little to make the story better. In fact, there was quite a lot of "twisting," but yes, the main thing remains the same.
The six of them decided to enjoy the night together, a triple-date if you will.
Temari was leaving the following morning, so Tenten and Hinata decided to enjoy the evening with her, together with a special few.
"Well," Tenten said, sitting beside Neji, "what's the plan for the night Temari? You're the boss."
"Nothing new there," Shikamaru remarked. He got a smack to the head for it.
Naruto laughed. "Good job Shikamaru."
Temari rolled her eyes. "I'm not too sure, how about doing something a little different to my usual visits here when I'm with you guys?"
"What would that be?" Neji asked.
Temari looked up, thinking of an idea.
"How about somewhere away from the city lights of the village?"
"You mean like that hill you two are always at?" Hinata replied.
Shikamaru sighed. "You watch us?"
Naruto replied with a grin.
Tenten giggled. "Not a bad idea. In fact, I like it!"
She got up and Neji followed her closely. She looked back at the other four. "Come on!"
Naruto took Hinata's hand and they followed, with Shikamaru and Temari slowly trailing behind.
"I see why you two like it here," Tenten said, looking at the star-lit sky. "It's beautiful."
"Yeah well, don't get used to it, this isn't meant to be inhabited by others," Shikamaru said, slightly irritated.
"It's your spot, hey?" Naruto said cheekily.
Shikamaru didn't answer.
Neji let out a soft chuckle. "That's nice."
Hinata giggled, which was followed with silence as they looked up into the dark sky.
As they did so, Hinata sat on Naruto's lap, as he leaned back on the tree.
Tenten was leaning on Neji's shoulder, and his head leaned on top of hers.
As for the other two, all they did was hold hands, but for them, that was enough.
"Good choice Temari," Naruto said.
"Definitely a good way to spend your last night," Tenten added.
She squeezed Shikamaru's hand a little more and they smiled.
"Yeah woman," Shikamaru said.
"This was a good choice indeed."

about the hill thing, for those who don't read a lot of my stories, I created a setting for the two of them, which is "the hill with the lone tree on top." :)
