ANNABETHS POV

I stood before the Oracle, dreading my prophecy.

Approach Seeker, and ask.

I gulped and stepped forward. "What is my destiny?"

The green mist swirled outward, creating an illusion. Two figures stepped forward, and I realized with a start, that they were Percy and Luke. My stomach dropped.

Percy flashed his goofy smile, the one that always made my heart flutter, as he spoke.

You shall delve in the darkness of the endless maze

Luke spoke the next line, shoving Percy out of the way.

The dead, the traitor, and the Lost one raise.

Percy glared at Luke, but when he looked at me again, the hate dripped off his face, replacing it with love.

You shall rise or fall, by the Ghost Kings hand

Luke winked at me, like we were sharing some kind of inside joke.

The child of Athena's final stand

Percy reached out, as if to touch my face, looking at me with concern, the exact same way he did after he rescued me last winter. After I held up the sky.

Destroy with a hero's final breath

Suddenly Percy's face twisted in pain. I looked down to see a tip of a sword sprouting from Percy's stomach. As he fell to the ground, I screamed and he started coughing up blood. Go, He mouthed to me. Luke's face appeared above Percy's body, grinning. He was holding a sword drenched in blood.

And lose a love to worse then death.

I backed up, crying. Luke wouldn't do that, It was only an illusion, right? But then I heard Percy's voice yelling my name desperately, and I stumbled out of the attic, away from the cursed Oracle.

"Percy!" I screamed, running blindly. "Percy where are you?" I rounded the corner slamming into someone.

"Annabeth? Are you alright? I heard you scream…." Percy spoke, while clutching me to his chest, his eyes boring into me.

"Percy," I sobbed, grabbing his shirt in my hands, pulling him closer.

"Shh, Annabeth it's okay. Whatever it is we'll figure it out. I promise." He held me there, rocking me back and forth with his arms wrapped around me while I sobbed into his shirt.

I slid my hand under the fabric, just to make sure he didn't a sword sticking through him. I tried to ignore his abs. When I didn't feel anything sharp, I pulled away.

"Your okay!" I exclaimed.

"Of corse I am Wise girl, why wouldn't I be?" He asked, staring at me confused.

"Because I saw- because Luke- Your not coming on the quest Percy." I said, wiping my eyes.

He glared at me. "I'm coming whether you like it or not Annabeth. I don't care about the prophecy."

I nodded, and rested my head on his chest again.

"Thanks Seaweed brain." I said, loud enough for him to hear. Then I murmured something else, making sure it was to quiet for him to hear.

"I love you."
