a/n: don't know where this came from. Maybe from the emotions I've been feeling this week. Okay, forget my issues on with the story. This story was inspired by these words in the song In Real Life by Demi Lovato. And also inspired by It Only Hurts When I'm Breathing by Shania Twain. Another song that inspired this story, Crawl(Carry Me Through) by Superchick. None of these lyrics belong to me.

"In real life it doesn't always work out

People fall in love

And then they fall out

Hearts can break and never make a sound"

Demi Lovato

Broken.

One simple word came mean so many things.

Like when Cat accidentally broke a vase while chasing bubbles in her house. The vase was broken. But not in the way broken hearts are.

She tried to fix the vase. The glass cut her, she was bleeding.

She started to wonder, do the broken hearts with cracks, bleed too?

Do hearts get fixed like vases?

Cat heard of getting her heart broken, but she knew that wouldn't happen. People love her. Nobody would hurt her. She thought she would never be broken.

But the Cat Valentine got her heart broken. By Tori and Daniel. She was officially broken. Her best friend kissed her ex- boyfriend. Which was her boyfriend at the time.

Bubbly Cat didn't talk to anybody for days. Why is something so wonderful so dangerous? Love is painful.

People fall in love. Falling is dangerous, sometimes you don't know who you fall in love with. Then you get your heart broken. In the beginning and end you get hurt.

"My heart only breaks when it's beating

My dreams only die when I'm dreaming"

Shania Twain

Love something Cat once adored. She loved everyone. But it took her awhile to realize not everybody loved her. Or at least that's what she thought. After things happened Cat hated love. It destroyed her. She wasn't Cat.

Everybody knew Cat was fragile, sensitive. But nobody knew how broken she really was.

"You broke the fragile girl" those were the only words that came out her mouth when someone asked her anything.

Cat the fragile girl, broke. The girl who believed in fairy tales and princesses and princes, was broken.

Cat's safest place, her dreams, became nightmares.

No, she realized, hearts aren't fixed like vases.

Who was there to heal Cat?

Beck Oliver.

He comforted her through the painful days. Let her cry on his shoulder. He let her vent.

"And if I had to crawl

Well You'd crawl too

I stumble and I fall

Carry me through"

Superchick

She thought people loved her for her bubbly personality, she was afraid people wouldn't love her like this.

Beck loved her no matter what.

She loved Beck.

She trusted Beck and only Beck.

He taught her love didn't have to be dangerous

Months pass and Cat is healed. Beck healed her. He did everything in his power to keep her happy.

Broken. Something Cat will never feel that way again, she has Beck.

So maybe broken vases and broken hearts are the same.

Both are fixed. Both are healed.

Cat realized something, Beck's love was different. It was strong, built of passion and care.

Beck and Cat

Cat and Beck

She can go back to chasing bubbles knowing the vase will be fixed.

She can go back to loving people knowing her heart will never be broken again.

A/N: I know this is not style of writing I honestly have no idea where this story came from. And the random song lyric thing…it was odd. But I hope somebody likes it. Review please
