Chapter 1

The Day That Changed Everything

Quinn's POV

It's hard to remember a time when it wasn't me, Santana, and Brittany. I was always leading the charge, the one in control and Santana and Brittany where right behind me, pinkies linked.

But a long time ago it was just me, Quinn Fabray, the little first grader liked by everyone but without true friends. I had girls I played tag with or hide and seek but I could tell the other girls liked each other better. If I was absent it wouldn't matter, I was never the girl you wanted to have a play date with instead if another girl. I was the girl you would invite over if all of your other friends were busy. Everyone liked me and thought I was really nice, I wasn't friendless, but I needed true friends.

Then came second grade and I noticed two girls, a dark haired Latino with smart remarks, and a bubbly blonde with a somewhat clueless personality. But they seemed like more than that.

They had a bond I longed for, they were best friends. Brittany and Santana. Santana and Brittany. Brittany saw through Santana's rough exterior and see how kind and protective she was on the inside. Santana knew Brittany was more than a "dumb blonde", as the other kids labeled her, she was sweet and thoughtful. I could see those things about them too.

So one fall day, I talked to them and they both say I "won their hearts", I think I got lucky!

"Hi! I'm Quinn Fabray!" I introduced myself as confidently as a second grader could.

They giggled, it was nice giggling, "We know," Santana told me, it was kind, "I'm Santana Lopez."

"I'm Brittany Pierce." Brittany told me smiling sweetly.

It was my turn to giggle, "I know!"

They laughed with me, "What are you girls doing?" I asked them curiously.

"It's a secret." Santana told me in a hushed voice.

"I think we should tell Quinn." Brittany chimed in, "I like her, San!"

Santana looked unsure, "I don't know Britt.."

"I won't tell anyone!" I told them honestly.

"Please!" Brittany begged Santana.

Santana sighed, smiling, "Okay!" She agreed to her persistent friend.

"Yay!" Brittany cheered and wrapped Santana up in a hug.

Santana laughed and Brittany released Santana from her hug.

The girls linked pinkies and Santana told me their secret, "We're trying to discover a new world," She explained, "We were going to name it Brittany Santana world, but now we'll name it Brittany Santana Quinn world if you help us."

"We really like you!" Brittany volunteered.

"I'd love to help you!" I told them with a big smile on my face.

From that moment on I had two best friends I could depend on for the rest of my life.
