Here is my new SYOT! It is slightly different as your tribute will not have its own point of view. The whole story will be written in my characters point of view, but your tributes will be included too. District 12 tributes have already been made by me and some other tributes have already been reserved.
I WILL ONLY ACCEPT ENTRIES THROUGH PM AND THE TRIBUTE FROM IS ON MY PROFILE. I just wanted to emphasise that point. It is just so my SYOT isn't deleted. You can submit as many tributes as you want but you must use the tribute form on my profile. Please submit creative and imaginative tributes! District 13 and the Capitol are also included in this SYOT!
There are 6 male spots left, and 1 female spot, just look at the form below ;) If you want to submit a female tribute, you must submit a male tribute too, just so I can have male tributes too.
Chapter one is just after the tribute list, Please review :P I know its only short, chapter two will be too, but after that the chapters will get longer!
Please tell me what you think of the chapter, what I am doing right or wrong and if my characters are too similar to the ones in the book. But the main one is a little similar, you will find out why in a few chapters. You wont really find out much about the characters until chapter four.
I have got rid of all the reserved spots, as no one submitted tributes for them, so if you reserve a tribute, please submit a tribute!
Also, please have a look at my other story the 100th Hunger Games! It would be really nice if you could review it! And I also have a poll on my profile, please vote for it!
Thanks for clicking on the story anyway, even if you didn't read it or anything ;)

The Beginning
One Month Ago
It was a beautiful day, there were no clouds in the sky and the sun was shining brightly. There was a slight breeze that made the trees wave in the sun. The water fountain looked magnificent in the middle of the town square, the sun glistening off it.
I wandered around for a while, admiring the district. It was not often this sunny, and when it was I loved to spend my day doing nothing but wandering aimlessly around the district, remembering every little detail. I would then sit in the Meadow by myself and think of all the happy memories I had ever had. Most were from before I was five, but there have been a small few after, as I was growing up.
I was stood outside the Mellark bakery, admiring the beautiful cakes that I could never have when it happened.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The window smashed and glass went everywhere. Gunshots exploded all around me as I stood frozen to the spot, looking around, not knowing what to do. Peacekeepers and citizens from – maybe district 2? - were shooting almost everyone in sight. People were screaming, some out of panic, some out of agony, some running around frantically, and some were like me – frozen to the spot, unable to do anything as the dead bodies piled up all over the town square. The ground was splattered with fresh, bright red blood, building up as the seconds went by. The noise was almost deafening.
Looking more carefully, I noticed that there were some people fighting back. District 12, the poorest, most insignificant district looked prepared. There were guns, barricades. People were trying to get others to safety, there was less and less screaming, but the noise of the guns only grew louder. And then the town square was not really much of a town square anymore. In the thirty seconds that had passed, half of the buildings had been destroyed and the square was now a warzone. And I was right in the middle of no-man's land.
Suddenly, that was enough to kick me into action. I ran. What else could I do? I could hear the footsteps of someone perusing me, getting closer, nearer and nearer. I ran for the Meadow as fast as I could, my body tensed, bracing for the impact of the bullet. Why weren't they shooting? I was out in the open, exposed. I was vulnerable and weak and there was nothing I could do about it, everything I had learned was now forgotten. I reached the meadow and shimmied up a tree. I was safe. But where was the person who was perusing me a minute ago? I heard a click. A gun. My heart stopped. In less than a second I would be dead.
"Calm down, it's just me."
I immediately relaxed; despite the gunfire I could hear in the town square. I had to help somehow. I refuse to do nothing. I had not spent ten years preparing for nothing. I started fumbling around in the tree.
"What are you doing?" He asked me.
"Looking for my weapons."
"You're going back?"
"I am not just going to sit here and watch people get killed, Seb."
I couldn't find my knives, so I grabbed a bow and a sheath of arrows and jumped out of the tree, I was only about a meter up.
I landed as gracefully as I could – which was not really very graceful at all – and I darted towards the fence, the boundary between district 12 and the Meadow. I never really understood how it stayed upright. It had been knocked down in the rebellion and then been put up again. On windy days, I was always cautious around it, just in case it swayed a little too far and came crashing down on me – that probably made me seem a little paranoid, if it's stayed up all these years, why would it fall down now? Well, one could never be too cautious around heavy, dilapidated, electrical fences that may or may not be electrical.
I could hear Sebastian's footsteps behind me. Normally I would have told him to stop following me, and he would have ignored me and carried on anyway, so I decided to leave it as I was a little preoccupied with the situation at hand.
I quickly rolled under the fence and winced a little, throwing yourself on the ground to roll under a fence with barbed wire does not look graceful, but it does hurt, despite how people make it seem. Sebastian was close behind. He wasn't holding a gun; the noise I had heard was one of his snares. Instead he was holding some knives, my knives – dammit, he stole my knives! - prepared for battle. I made a mental note to get the knives back of him later, if we survived this.
We neared the gunshots and Seb began to throw knives – I swear to god if he loses one of those - at the opposing side, I wasn't really sure who yet, just the people firing at anyone from district 12 (the ones who were much less organised). I scaled to the top of a building that had not yet been blown up or destroyed, and preceded to fire arrows at the opposing side - peacekeepers and people from district 2 it looks like - not missing many of my targets. I did not shoot to kill, I don't believe in killing people. I glanced at Seb, throwing my knives; he barely missed targets either.
You would think I was prepared for all of this by the way that I reacted. Make no mistake – I was far from prepared. Just like most people from district 12, I had no clue what was going on, other than the fact that my district was being attacked, invaded, or whatever. I had just been brought up differently to other children; this caused me to know what to do in a situation like this, like Seb. So I could do something useful, rather than running and screaming and getting shot, then screaming more.
I was shaking with adrenaline. I had never been in a situation like this before, it had only been described to me – not this particular situation, but another situation that involved the ability to defend myself and others, not that I was defending anyone at this moment in time – and it scared me a little. But, from the way some of district 12 had reacted, some people had known that this was going to happen. Since when did district 12have a supply of guns on hand? Unexpectedly, the noise stopped. The screaming died down and the district was in a kind of eerie silence. I could see Seb trying to get a glimpse of what was going on, but I could see perfectly above the heads crowding around. There, stood right in the middle of what I had described as no-man's land, not far from where I had been about five minutes ago, she was still shooting an icy glare towards our attackers.
