I wrote this immediately after buying and instantly reading a long-awaited (for me anyway) Roman Dirge publication, (Monsters in My Tummy) I KNEW someday there'd be a place I could put it! No own.

One day CryingChild
Sat down and read
A comic about
A cute girl who was dead
When she spied an ad
That seemed to say, "Look!"
"My name is Betrayal,
Please buy my book!"
'Twould come out in December,
That was months away!
So poor CryingChild
Began counting down days.
This book would be great!
Her excitement was hatching
Much better that 'Something
At The Window Is Scratching'!
Then, one day
While buying a belated gift,
What she saw through the shop window
Gave her such a lift!
It had finally arrived!
She rushed through the shop door,
Ran home, and threw
Her cool coat on the floor.
She read it quite quickly
Unable to pause
As bubble gum rapidly
Wore down her jaws
Three minutes later
It was over and done
She felt sad to see
There would be no more fun
But all was not lost,
There was more she could get!
So she posted this poem
On FanFiction.net.
