Prologue

It has been a long time since I have seen him. Everything around me feels empty and void. I miss him so much. I am trying to pretend that everything is fine with me. The fake smile I put infront of everyone is not fooling anyone. I know that. But I don't know what to do any more. I don't know where should I go or who should I talk to. Currently I am sitting in a library in the Royal City of Fiore. It is a long way from Magnolia. But this city has the biggest library and if I can get any lead it will be from here.

Flashback

It is finally over. The war is finally over. Natsu said that he will defeat Zeref and he really did. Even though I knew what will happen to him I let him go through it.

"Lucy, I am sor-" he says. His voice is breaking I can feel he is in a lot of is walking towards me. I ran to him unable to keep my tears from falling. He is holding his disappearing hand on my cheeks. I could tell that he is about to cry as well.

" I am sorry Natsu. I should have stopped you. I should have found a way to defeat Zeref and save you. This is not right. This isn't rig-"

I was cut off by Natsu's lips. He was kissing me. I loved him for a long time now he is kissing me.

I wanted this I waste no time caressing his cheeks and pull his face closer to mine to deepen the kiss until one of can't breathe anymore. The world stop around me. He pulls me into another kiss this one is shorter because he pulls away.

"There was so many things I wanted to do. This was one of them. I love you Lucy. I am so sorry I didn't say anything. This was the only way this war could have ended. The world is safe, our friends are safe, you are also safe this is the best outcome so don't be sad. I want to see you smile Lucy I want to see you smile before I go." he said.

"Idiot. Are you trying to act cool or something?" I said with a chuckle wiping the tears from my face.

"You caught me." he says trying to smile.

"Goodbye Lucy. I love you."

"I love you too idiot." I say trying not to cry but I can feel the tears threatening to fall. He disappears completely before me. I finally can't stop myself from crying anymore.
