AN: This is one of the Friday fixtures for the foreseeable future. Or until I run out of ideas, whichever comes first.

So It Starts

I stood in the centre of a pentagram, I should have been in an ancient forest by now. Unfortunately, someone had interrupted my attempt at long dimensional time travel. I glared at my uncle.

"Why did you do that?"

"We both know nothing goes well with time travel."

"You've done it before."

"That was a time turner accident, not a deliberate attempt with ancient magic. There is a reason that this sort of thing is illegal."

"I need to know what he was like."

"You do not need to know anything about either of them."

"I have to understand."

"This is a very bad idea." I could sense that my uncle was just as curious as I was; simply more cautious.

"Then come with me."

"They will remember me."

"You were never that bad uncle."

"Actually, niece; I was worse." I could see my uncle's ominous eyebrow rising. He claimed it to be a family trait; I disagreed, I knew it was a trait he had learnt and I wanted to know where from. He gingerly moved into the centre of the pentagram with me, and used the very magic I had been forbidden from using; I was stunned with the comfort my uncle had with the ancient magic's. There was just enough time for me to whisper at him.

"Hypocrite." There was just a snort in response.

AN: Mostly the first few chapters will be really short, but I will not be changing the schedule, so review away.
