Oh my god Cinder, a one-shot without a quote prompt?

Actually, the first paragraph was the prompt here. It's a journal prompt for my Creative Writing class, and I had to write this.

I woke up and tried to take a deep breath, but the deeper the breath the more severe the pain. The ground is hard beneath my back, and I feel a pain in my arm.

My eyes open to see Yamamoto's worried face above mine. His brow is creased with frustration, and I can see the blood splattered over his clothes.

"Gokudera!"

"Yakuubaka, what happened? And why the hell can't I move my arm?" My words came out in broken gasps; I probably had a rib poking into my lung.

"You took a bullet, stay still."

"That can't be all that happened and…why are you covered in blood?"

When those amber eyes hardened, I had my answer. He had killed the person who had shot me. A corpse laying nearby without a head confirmed it.

"Gokudera, you're losing so much blood!"

I looked at my arm. Huh, so I was. No big deal, I've had worse. As long as I didn't feel weak, I was fine.

Oh shit.

When I tried to sit up, I almost passed out again. Fuck, that's lovely. I'm in worse shape than I thought. My pride wouldn't let me let Yamamoto know though.

But of course, the damn idiot has to choose today to be perceptive.

He pulled me into his arms bridal style, and I couldn't stop whatever blood that wasn't dripping out of my arm from rushing into my cheeks.

"We'll get you some help, you're going to be okay."

"Let go of me." I stuggled weakly against his arms, but it was a futile effort. I was quickly losing strength. His arms, muscular and strong from all the years playing baseball and swordfighting, had no issues keeping me pressed against his chest.

I felt blackness tug at my weary mind, but I also felt a soft pair of lips press gently to my forehead.

"You'll be okay… Gokudera? Gokudera! Don't fall asleep!"

I slipped into the blackness only moments later.

And I didn't wake up there again.

I'll let you decide where "there" means lol. I'm so mean :P
