Paradise Falls was nothing sort of a shit-hole out in the middle of nowhere with little to no customers most of the time. The stifling heat and dry landscape not being the most comforting of things to view, even less so on Christmas eve, Pluto, while not having anywhere to be, had to agree-sand and hot, burning air were definitely not her cup of tea.
A scalding and fast-paced panting against her bare legs gave Pluto a sense of comfort as she looked down at her Cane Corso, Cerberus, by her feet, a large bowl of water laying next to him. Despite the fact Bob, the owner of Paradise Falls, was a grumpy old basterd, Pluto couldn't fault him, especially as he let her bring Cerberus in with her, even offering him a bowl of water.
"Can I get you anything else ?" Pluto's gaze snapped up to the young, heavily-pregnant woman in front of her, her voice was soft, like butter. The turning up of her painted red lips changed her sharp ace into a more welcoming sight "if you wouldn't mind, ma'am, could I possibly get one rare steak, for Cerberus down there, and um, an ice-cream sundae for myself?" politeness seemed to get you everywhere these days, Pluto had quickly learned that the more polite the more likely it was that someone would trust you, and in her game, trust was everything.
The young woman rose a singular well-shaped brow "You can call me Charlie, and one rare steak and one sundae- any particular flavour ?" nodding slowly Pluto seemed to think on it or a moment or two "just vanilla, my stomach's been kind of sensitive lately". Smiling Charlie gave a curt nod before wobbling off, her hand delicately arching around her rounded stomach.
Eyes Turning towards the windows, Pluto leant over her table, her hand resting gingerly upon Cerberus' broad head, his short, bristle like fur barely moving under her caress. With a hawk-like vision Pluto watched as a car was pulled into the parking lot- a family of 3 stepping out of it, each one looking more annoyed than the last; The work-obsessed father, the high-maintenance mother and the rebellious daughter. Turning her attention back to the almost empty interior, with the ancient air-con whirring in the back of her skull Pluto found her self absently playing with her small golden septum hoop, boredom beginning to get the best of her and her short attention span. Standing up suddenly Pluto motioned for Cerberus to stay before wandering off to the counter. Leaning over it, her 5''3 frame dangled slightly off the floor, she grinned widely at the slightly portly black gentleman cooking "Do you guys sell smokes?"
