He'd been brooding about the lives lost again… Sirus, Diggory, his parents… I could tell he'd been blaming himself. He was depressed.

"Do you think anyone will miss me when I'm gone?"

"What are you talking about?" I ask hesitantly. I'm afraid of what he's thinking. "You're not thinking about…"

"I have nothing to live for."

"You can't do this. We need you." I need you.

"Oh I'll fight in the war. I'll win of course. I owe everyone at least that, but I've realised something."

"What?" I'm almost afraid to ask.

"I have to win, but I don't have to live."

"Think of all the hearts you'll break."

"My friends will learn to get over it. They have each other. Those annoying fan girls will find a new idol in time."

He's so cynical. It hurts to see him this way.

"The rest of the wizarding world only wants me to win. As long as I do that, they don't really care." He continues. "I'll just be come a memory in time, the boy who died saving the world. They'd love that, to make me a martyr."

"Not everyone only sees you as the Golden Boy. There is someone out there whose feelings for you are more than infatuation and not platonic you know. They just might die without you."

"Sure…"

I take a breath to gain courage to speak up.

"My heart would shatter…" I say barely audible "…if you died…" I stare at my feet. "…because I've fallen in love with you."

He gets up to stand in front of me.

"I've fallen in love for you too. I didn't think anyone cared for me."

He lifts up my chin. Emerald looked into cerulean and lips met in ecstasy. As he held me in his arms I whisper

"Please don't die. Don't shatter my heart."

"For you, and only you, I'll live forever." He said looking into my eyes. "For you my love."
