Kurama POV Darkness........fog swirled around my feet........I did not move, nor could I. This fog.......it seems so familiar. I sniffed, and the smell confirmed my suspicions. The fog from the Fruit of the Past Life. Someone...a kitsune...had changed. As if on cue, a demon walks out of the shadows. Is it me? That cannot be. We are not two separate beings. Even in dreams we are never separate. But as this demon walks forward, I can see it is not me, not Yoko Kurama. It is...her. She was at the Tournament, but she hardly said anything. "Kurama." I am able to move. I turn around and am now fully able to see...her. I have to look up, because she is so much taller than a human...like me. I meet her eyes. Sadness reflects in them. Like what Shi told me I had in my eyes when my mother was ill. "You have forgotten me." "What?" "You have forgotten your past...and so have forgotten me. Tell me, Yoko Kurama: Who am I?" "You are Yoko Shi. You came and helped us at the tournament." She gives a curt laugh. "Yes, that was me. But that is not what I meant. Who am I?" "I do not understand." Her gold eyes close and her head droops a bit. "It is......as I feared. Goodbye, Yoko Kurama." She turns to leave as she walks into the shadows. "Wait!" I reach out, try to stop her. I must! "Don't go!" I bolt upright, panting. My body is covered in a cold sweat. My hand is still reaching out, but now it is into the dim darkness of my room. My hand falls. It was only a dream. But I know Yoko Shi had really visited. I felt her. She was so close. Outside, a cloud moves and the light of the moon shines in from Kurama's bedroom window. He turns to look. A full moon. Kurama lays back down and falls into a restless slumber. "Shuichi? Are you alright?" My eyes open. Miiko is standing over me. Did I fall asleep? I sit up as Miiko sits down beside me. We're at the park. It isn't a school day, but for the people who know me, I am in my uniform. Miiko is wearing one of her Fox shirts and a pair of jeans. "Not enough sleep, ne?" "Yes." She lays down and closes her eyes, enjoying the good day. "Why not?" "Yoko Shi came for a visit." I lay back down, copying what Shi is doing. One of her red eyes opens, stares at me. Then it closes again. "Care to tell?" "She said I have forgotten my past and so have forgotten her." "But you have forgotten me." My eyes snap open and I sit up on my elbow to look at her. She just lays there as a breeze blows by. Yeah, I have no idea where this came from, but hey *shrugs*
