Believe it or not, I typed this thing out in less than ten minutes, from scratch. I was waiting for my mum to pick me up, and the whole fic just popped up. Not just a scene or an idea, I really mean the whole thing! Enjoy... reviews muchly appreciated!

Then & Now
They had been great friends since they were students; Fuji, Kikumaru and Oishi. They liked to pop over at Kawamura Sushi for dinner, and some small chat. Sometimes, if business wasn't too hectic, Kawamura would join them at their table for a short chat.
After dinner, they would leave the sushi bar and start their walks home. Kikumaru would cling on to Fuji, his best friend, and chatter non-stop about everything under the sun, animatedly narrating all the interesting events that took place. Oishi would walk about a step behind the duo, smiling quietly, and sometimes even blushing, but his green eyes would watch the redhead's every move intently. Shy, and sometimes even envious of the tensai, but he never said anything, unless they asked him a question.
Somewhere along their way home, a car would pull up by the sidewalk and the window would scroll down. "Coming home already, Syusuke?" a calm, pleasant voice would call out from inside the vehicle. Fuji would smile appreciatively and reply, "Yes, Nee-san." then get into the car. Kikumaru and Oishi would politely greet the elder Fuji, and bid their friend goodbye. They would watch the car zoom off, then continue their walk home with friendly chats, and eventually part ways.
Now, they are all grownups, with their own careers and new circles of friends. They were still great friends nonetheless, and they still liked to pop over at Kawamura Sushi for dinner and some small chat whenever their schedules would allow for a gathering. Kawamura, now a sushi master, would still join them at their table if he had the chance to peel himself away from the endless flow of customers.
After dinner, they would leave the sushi bar and start their walks home, just like when they were students. Kikumaru would still cling on to Fuji, still his best friend, and chatter non-stop about everything under the sun, animatedly narrating all the things that he went through in the past few months since their last meeting. But as he stayed close to his best friend, one of his hands would be fitted snugly in Oishi's bigger hand as they walked. Oishi would now walk in line with the duo, smiling comfortably. His eyes were still green, and they still watched the redhead's every move, but now he would throw in a remark occasionally, and give Kikumaru's hand a gentle squeeze once in a while.
Somewhere along their way home, a car would pull up by the sidewalk and the window would scroll down. "Coming home already, Syusuke?" a calm, but much deeper voice would call out from inside the vehicle. A dazzling smile would spread across the honey-haired man's lips as he replied, "Yes, dear." then get into the car and lean over for a quick kiss. Kikumaru and Oishi would greet their ex-captain with happy smiles, and bid their friends goodbye. They would still watch the car zoom off, then continue their walk home. But now, Oishi liked to have his hand casually resting on Kikumaru's hip, and the redhead would comfortably lean his head against his raven-haired lover's shoulder as they walked home together.
"Shall we go home, Eiji?"
"Hoi!"
