Prolouge
Asa's POV
Moonlight shone down on me as I snuck through the grounds of Bloor's Academy. My senses alert for any signs of the monster I'm hunting. Hearing a twig snap to my right I hid behind a tree, swiveling my head from side to side I see a dark shape moving through the vegetation. 'Finally found the wendigo' I thought as I watched it slink through the undergrowth. I pulled a rifle out of my bag and aimed it at the wendigo. I snuck up behind it and shot it in the chest and head. The silver bullet shot through its ice heart and dismembered skull. The wendigo falls to the ground with a horrid screech. I put the rifle back in the bag and take out an iron stake. I jam the stake through the wendigo's heart and draw a silver stake from the bag. I stab the stake through the already destroyed heart. The stakes really weren't nessecary but I have to make sure that the wendigo is dead and to be even more sure I dismember the body with a silver axe. I stuff the pieces into a garbage bag and carry it to the ruins.
I drop the bag in the middle of one of the rooms that have a roof that is still intact. I douse the bag with salt and gasoline before lighting it on fire. I wait until it stops burning to leave. I put my hunting bag back into its hiding place in the ruins. Moonlight shines down onto me as I walk out of the ruins. Wind and crickets are the only sounds that answer me as I sit on the steps of the ruin. I'll have to wait for two hours before I can sneak back into the academy so I decide to catch up on some sleep. Hunting has caused me to stay awake for almost every night and I feel exhausted for days. I set an alarm on my phone, go back into the ruins so I won't be so vunreable to attacks, and grab a knife out of my boot so I can defend myself if anything happens. I finally let my eyes close to fall into a long awaited slumber after surveying my surroundings one last time.
AN: Sorry if it wasn't great but this is just the Prolouge. It will get better later in the story and once I read the sixth book because that's when I was going to have the story take place but I was going to make a few changes, nothing big though. I'll update more once I have the sixth book. Well, I hope you liked the beginning and will continue reading! You can review or message me if you have any suggestions for the story.
