Chapter 1: Your Name
"Ash, Dawn and I are going to gather some fire wood. Mind staying back to watch our things," asked Brock.
"Yeah sure," Ash said solemnly.
Catching onto the obviously disgruntled boy, Brock could only look at the boys soft face and big brown eyes with worry but continued on his way to collect fire
wood as a long night was approaching.
"Why does he come up at every corner in my mind? Why does that arrogant asshole make me feel hopeless and bring me such despair?," Ash asked himself
over and over. "Pikachu what's wrong with me? I'm having an amazing journey, meeting new friends, while traveling with the people I care about so much,
winning our gym matches, and most importantly, continuing our journey together. Why am I letting Gary Oak, of all people, bring me down so much? I just don't
understand it."
"Pika Pika Pi Pi Pika Pi," Pikachu exclaimed with a serious look on his face.
"Haha you're right Pikachu," Ash happily said. I'm not weak and can do anything I set my mind to with the love and support of my pokemon and friends. Thank
you so much buddy for reminding me of that. Besides it's not like I've seen Gary in over a year, I shouldn't be letting little things worry me no matter what the
cause."
At that instance it looked like a new and improved Ash Ketchum had been born. Ash jolted up from his slumped position almost falling over in the process and
proceeded to set up camp with a can do attitude. Although the boy was not particularly skilled in putting together a tent he tried his best laughing with Pikachu
at the dreadful sight one would barely call a tent. The boy could be viewed as a little helpless sometimes but had one of the most sincere hearts deserving of
the highest admiration possible.
Brock and Dawn were still out of sight but Ash wanted to do something productive that would actually benefit the three traveling companions and decided to
go down to the crystal clear river to gather water supplies for the upcoming dinner Ash's mouth watered for in anticipation. As he stuck a huge canteen into the
water all was well until a loud crashing noise and large figure appeared from the water resembling that of no other than a ferocious and extremely angry
Gyarados.
Ash fell back, water falling all over him, frozen in fear, as if he was staring death right in the face. He had faced many Gyarados in the past but none as
terrifying or large as the demon before him. In an instance the gigantic monstrous looking Pokemon leaped toward Ash in an attempt to attack him and all he
could think of in that moment was the name "Gary".
