'Damn... I'm going to die... There's no way out...'

The only thing keeping him here now is the brat. This wasn't how things were supposed to go. But Vector knows it's already over; no final tricks he can pull to get himself out of it. He keeps telling himself Yuma's going to let go and save himself, but he doesn't. He's still going on about how he's Rei and how he's really a good person deep down and how he can start over and be friends again.

So stupid... It makes no sense... He's evil, right? He has been for centuries.. Why would things change now?

"I will protect you..."

Suddenly, he's seeing clearer than ever before.

'This is what hope feels like...'

The ground beneath Yuma cracks and drops a little.

'He'll die too... All for a worthless soul like me...'

Vector tries to let go of his hand , but it's not fast enough and Yuma's still holding onto him anyways.

The ground drops more.

Vector sees it's too late. Even if Yuma tried to run now, he'd never make it in time.

Before he can register it, they're falling.

'It's all my fault... I screwed up again...'

'It's too late..'

'Everything is lost..'

That brief moment of hope he had felt is now gone. What hope is there left to be had? Surely Yuma was the best chance of defeating Don Thousand?

No, he hadn't been the best chance.

He'd been the only.

But now it's too late..

Now he was dead...

And it was all his fault..

Astral couldn't believe it... What had Yuma done? He'd killed himself, and for what? The enemy, the Barian that had caused this whole mess.

'Why..?'

That's what he kept asking himself. He hadn't even noticed Mizar had appeared at Nasch's side.

Astral was broken from his thoughts as Nasch said, "We have to fight him together. We stand no chance on our own, but if we combine our power.."

Mizar nodded and turned to Astral. "This was won by Kite... It should go to you now..."

Astral looked at what Mizar had handed him.

Number 100 Numeron Dragon.

Another wave of grief hit him as he remembered Kite's passing, which ultimately led back to him thinking of Yuma.

He quickly pushed the thought aside. "Let us fight together.. For the sake of the universe and the Numeron Code..."

Astral hit the ground with an awful thud, his Life Points dropping to a mere 50 as the Numeron Dragon shattered in front of him. All he had left defending him was Utopia. And facing Don Thousand's Numerronius Numerronia, and with no Overlay Units, he was helpless. He had no Spells or Traps that could save him. It was all over as soon as he was attacked.

And he was.

The sheer force knocked him even further back, the last of his Life Points draining away.

'It's all over... We've failed... There's no one else to stand in his way... Astral World is doomed...'

Then everything went black..
