Sleeping snuggles
All was quiet in the Ark for many bots were tired after a day's battle. The Autobots had won, but there were still injured that Ratchet was tending to in the medbay. Prowl and Prime were still going over the battle and Jazz had long since tuned them out in favor of his beloved radio. Several of the Autobots sat doing monitor duty while others were in their quarters recharging. In one such room three Autobots were curled together holding each other close. No one would have ever expected such a sight to involve Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, but there they were curled around Bluestreak.
Bluestreak's fingers were curled into some openings in Sunstreaker's armor, holding tight as if to keep him from going anywhere while his back was cradled against Sideswipe, doorwings carefully folded so that they wouldn't be hurt by the Lamborghini at his back. There were three headrests but one was unused for Bluestreak had found a more comfortable one on Sideswipe's arm and Sunstreaker's shoulder. Sunstreaker had one arm around Blue's shoulders with the other resting on his arm going up to lightly grip his elbow. Sideswipe'e free hand lay resting on Blue's back where it could sleepily rub his back every so often. Their legs were untangled but touching, the twin's heads inclined toward Bluestreak. The relaxed expressions of the three made one think of sleeping sparklings, instead of the battle hardened mechs they were.
But what more could anyone expect – they were safe, they were together. The twins were curled around the mech who protected them on the battle field, while they protected their beloved against his nightmares.
Every so often one of them would shift, only slightly, and then the other two would shift to accommodate to the new position. The twins would stay curled around Blue, protecting the one most precious to them, the one who they loved and who loved them in return.
As the night wore on, Ratchet finally went to bed and the battle meeting broke off (much to Jazz's delight), but still these three slept on. Oblivious to the world, to the war, to the other Autobots, these three slept on protecting and being protected.
Very short, but I hope you like it enough to review. PLEASE!!
