A Message from Miroku to Fanfiction Writers
*Ahem*
I would like to start on a positive note by expressing my gratitude to all of you for the many fun adventures I've been able to have outside of the manga and anime series. Some of them have been adventurous, some have been dark, some have been REALLY weird (you know who you are), and others have been of a romantic nature. The ones of a more romantic nature are what I would like to address today.
Now, although in the manga and anime I am quite the ladies' man, wooing damsels into bed with me at every crossroad and every town we stop in. In your fanfics, however, I am more often placed with other males than not. It took some getting used to, but I slowly learned to enjoy it. Male companionship offers something different, yet equally gratifying- except for one VERY important part. For lack of better terms, taking it instead of giving it is not my ideal role.
Sexual intercourse being there in the first place doesn't bother me at all, but why must I be placed as the uke in almost every fic you people write? Am I not a man? Can I not take just as much control as say, Inuasha or Sesshomaru in the bedroom, despite the fact that I am a human? Is that really what this boils down to? They are inherently more powerful due to being of a demonic (or half demonic in Inuyasha's case) nature, yes, but that does not mean I couldn't manage to pin them down and… take them for a ride, shall we say? I fail to see how not. I have proven my worth fighting big, bad demons on numerous occasions.
