First fanfic guys… And like I'm obliged to say- I don't own anything, including Naruto. So read, rate and review...
Naruto just couldn't stop thinking about her. Damn Hinata. It wasn't until the incident with Pein that he started seeing Hinata in a different way. But that was three years ago. Naruto was going to be hokage for goodness sake. He had everything he dreamed of.
Until of course he had to fall for her. Yes Naruto Uzumaki had to fall head over heels for Hinata. He felt so pathetic for not realizing it before. And when he finally seemed to accept his feelings for her she seemed to have moved on. She seemed to have lost hope in him.
He was currently walking through the village. That was when Sakura spotted him.
"Naruto!" she screamed.
Sakura was well aware of Naruto's feelings for Hinata. I mean a guy could only make it so obvious, right?
"Hi Sakura! Wassup?" he asked.
"Do you know about the party on New Year's Eve?" she asked.
Nearly everyone knew about the party Ino was hosting. It was the same thing every year. Ino invited the old genin nine and some others to a party at her place. Personally Naruto thought it was crap and only went because Sakura would kill him if he didn't.
"Yeah," he nodded, "What about it?"
"A certain lavender haired beauty will be there too. Apparently lots of guys have asked her out. I suggest you admit your feeling to her then before you know"
"I don't like her" he retorted.
"Naruto you idiot, it is obvious to everyone but her. Ironic it was the other way around a few years ago" she shot back. "You have a girl to get you idiot."
And it was probably those words that inspired our young hero to finally take action.
Hinata was clearly nervous. She was at Ino's party and she saw absolutely no one she knew. Who had Ino called this time. She walked towards the drinks counter and started making idle conversation with a girl there when someone tapped her shoulder.
"Hey Hinata!" Naruto greeted. He was wearing black pants and a white shirt along with a black sports jacket. It was a pleasant change from the orange and black outfit he usually wore. Not that it looked bad on him too.
"Hi Naruto! Long time, no see" she said.
She was wearing a long, purple, sleeveless dress. Apparently it brought out the colour of her eyes or so Hanabi said.
Naruto leaned against the counter and started talking. She smiled and listened to the various missions Naruto had been on. Despite everything, she still loved him.
That was when a slow song came on. Naruto smiled at her.
"would you like to..um.."
"dance with you? Yeah sure" she finished and Naruto and Hinata made their way to the dance floor. Naruto placed his hands on her waist while Hinata put her hands on his shoulder. They moved perfectly together and Naruto leaned in, his head next to her ear.
"you know Hinata. I kinda like this girl. So I was wondering you know how to tell her."
Hinata was a bit downcast. After all this was the boy she loved.
"just be yourself and go up to her and tell her… that's it" she smiled trying not to show her sadness.
"well if that is the case then, Hinata Hyuga… I love you."
Hinata couldn't believe it. Naruto liked her?
"do u um… still have feelings for me Hinata?" Naruto asked.
"Yes Naruto.. in fact-"
But that was all Naruto needed to hear as he bent down and captured her lips with his. It took two seconds for her to respond, surprised as she was.
And when they broke apart Hinata looked up at Naruto and smiled and no one could kill the happiness Naruto felt at that moment.
