And he is running.
He doesn't know where to. What he's going to do once he gets there,
But he is running.
He is running away from the elephant SPK and their infant ring master.
He is running away (far away) from their shiny guns, and angry words of:
'What would your dad think!?'
He is running…
Ruuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnning.
Honey brown eyes slanted in pain, anger, hurt.
An almost victory. An almost triumph.
But then FAILURE in the form of a laughing shinigami.
Ruuunnnning away…far aaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaayy.
And soon he's falling. He falls like Alice did when she fell down the rabbit hole. Slowly.
Faaaaalllinng.
Down,
down,
down.
His eyes widen as he feels the crushing hand constrict around his heart.
And soon he feels the fear of death that so many felt when he ruled them.
And then he sees him.
It's foggy at first, and then his blurring eyes focus in that moment of delusional madness.
A sad, morose expression is on his narrow, heart shaped face.
Dark eyes, normally dead with the faintest flicker of intelligence
Are dark with the frown on his pale lips.
And Raito sees his moments he shared with him flash before his dulling honey eyes.
A split second of anger, hate, but then euphoric bliss and love.
Many nights of sweat, ecstasy, whispered taboos that they knew were never true to begin with.
Poisoned butterflies.
Whispered things, many trysts after hours when they thought no one was watching.
Things that spewed from both their lips;
Even before (right before) he murdered him,
the butterflies poured silently from his mouth and into his closing ears.
He remembers the way he laughed: soft, breathy chuckles when he was around others, and loud cute hiccupy giggles when they
were
alone.
And now he's dead.

Okay, what the hell? This really isn't a 'poem' per se, but…I don't write poetry well (shrugs). I'm watching 'Dark Knight' with my mom and dad for the second time. I freaking love the Joker. RIP Heath Ledger! Anyone notice how the Joker and Batman are like Raito and L? Both equals in every right? Awesome socks.
