Crimson
She took a deep, shuddering breath.
His arms were around her. They were firm to the point of almost being tight. They were possessive and demanding.
His words resonated in the air. The sounds echoed in the back of her mind. Their presence lingered, clinging to her heart without restraint.
She felt that they would revive, brighter and bolder than before if she closed her eyes. She tried to. Her body was malfunctioning. Movement was impossible. There were only his arms and his words to her existence.
Yes
Her heart fluttered brilliantly. Her eyes began to sting. Wings had seemed to have burst from her back.
Yes…
She closed her eyes. The darkness whispered around her. Its soft velveteen touch was reminiscent of the arms that embraced her. She wanted to sink into them.
It's a lie. She was jolted from her dream. Her peace fell to pieces. It was a lie. She felt the dreadful sting of salt water rise again. It was not a good thing.
"Why…?" she whispered, knowing it was wrong.
"Because I love you," he lied too smoothly.
He drew her closer and she dared to reach up and touch his skin. He was real. She knew him. He had no reason to torture her. He had greater pleasures in mind.
Her head drooped. The life withered from her eyes. She felt the tears invade her. Her soul was close to shattering. It was all a lie.
Her lips quivered. He wanted betrayal. He wanted them to fail.
He needs an advantage
It was cold in his arms - just like death.
Author's Note: I had some time left before the battery drained and those three parts to my manuscript were really inspiring. As I wrote Breathe I thought, "hey, wouldn't something like this be good for Sasuke and Sakura?" I don't know what it is, but I find that these two have the greatest tragedy in the whole of this website (that I know).
Thank you for reading my piece. I hope that you enjoyed reading this as greatly as I enjoyed writing it. I apologise if I am not up to par.
