Afternoon Tea Cake
Schezo's cousins- Valentina and Jet, owned a sweet shop in Onion Forest, which was called "Sweet V.J. Wegey". Their food, were delicious and popular, especially for students and comet warlocks, like Lemres, who came to the shop for afternoon tea, and was a part time waiter there.
Schezo often help his cousins too. He gave them advises and chatted with them while working. He loved his cousins very much, and the pair loved their dark wizard cousin too.
The shop mainly sold candies. The candies were made in a machine which Valentina invented. The machine could make different kinds of candies, like lollipops, gumdrops, mentos, peppermints or even pop rocks. First, enter what kind of candy you want. Next, add flavor into a glass pipe, then switch the machine on by pressing a large button which have a large handprint. Then after a few minutes, candy will drop from a sky blue pipe at the bottom. For example, if you add an orange into the glass pipe, you'll make orange-flavored candy.
Besides candies, the shop also sell "Dessert of the day", like cakes, cheesecakes, or panna cotta. And one day, the dessert of the day was cake.
" Looks like many people loves cake," said Valentina, looking at the entrance of their shop. It has a "long dragon"(Chinese phrase describing a very long queue)
"Exactly…" said Jet " By the way, there're lot's of people having birthdays in March, isn't it? Almost all customers went here to order birthday cakes,"
"There are many people whose birthday is in March. Including Ocean Prince, Dongerigaeru and our cousin," said Valentina.
"And Seriri too," said Jet.
"We've turned 15 a month ago, and two days later will be our cousin's birthday. He'll turn 17," said Valentina.
"No time to talk now, sis, we've got to make more strawberry shortcakes and chocolate cakes," said jet. Then he turned to Lemres, who was serving the customers with red tea.
"Lemres! We're almost out of flour and cream!" cried Jet.
Lemres gave Jet an "okay" signal and said, " I'll contact Feli to buy some."
After several hours, it's time to close the shop. The twins started to clean up.
"Thanks, Lemres. You've been helping us a lot," said Valentina.
"It's my pleasure to help you two," smiled Lemres.
"Do you want to have tea with us?" asked Jet.
"Oh! That will be wonderful," said Lemres. " I would like to have…"
Before Lemres could say what kind of cake he wanted, the door suddenly opened.
"Amitie!" the three called together.
Amitie came in, but she lowered her head and spoke nothing.
"What's wrong?" asked Jet politely.
"Raffine needs to practice her fighting, Sig needs to do an insect project for his tutorial school, Rider is sick, and Klug needs to take care of his toddler cousin. Even Miss Accord is busy correcting our homework. No one could have tea with me…" said a moody Amitie.
'Then why don't you have tea with us?" asked Valentina.
"Really? I can?" asked Amitie. Her smile started to light up.
"Sure. What do you want to have?" asked Valentina.
"I'd like…strawberry sponge cake, please," said Amitie.
"Lemres, what do you think?" asked Jet.
"Well, this is what I want!"
" Then let's make it together!" said Amitie.
The four crack the eggs, puree the strawberries, sieve the flour, mix the ingredients…soon, the cake was done.
The four's eyes shined. "No wonder it looks delicious!" cried Jet. His indigo eyes shine like glitter.
Then they cut the cake and started enjoying themselves.
" Fabulous! This cake's delicious! Perfect!" smiled Amitie.
"Even it's not decorated. Amazing!" said Lemres.
"Tastes great with mint tea," said Jet, sipping his cup of mint tea.
"Would you like to leave some for your classmates and Miss Accord?" asked Lemres.
"Oh! I'd love to!" said an excited Amitie.
"Let me wrap it for you," said Valentina.
Amitie nodded happily. This was the best afternoon tea I've ever had…Amitie thought.
