A SteinXMarie oneshot of Marie`s new love...
Disclaimer: I don`t won Soul Eater...sadly.
What is with him? Marie thought, pacing in her room. Why doesn't he get the hint?
She had been living with Stein for a while now, and it was the same old thing. She'd try to make him get the hint that she liked him and he'd remain clueless. Marie sat down on her bed and sighed. It was useless.
Stein had been her first love, but she'd never really gotten over him. All she wanted was for him to at least get a clue about how she felt.
She got up off her bed again and started to pace. Maybe she could come up with a plan to get Stein to fall for her. But that didn't work the first ten times, so why should it work this time. She could always try to find a different guy, but her heart was set on Stein.
She went back to her bed again when she saw him.
Her pillow.
A smile spread across her face when she realized how perfect a pillow would be for a husband. She squealed in joy thinking about all the good times they could have.
That squeal was also the reason Stein had come to her room.
He had been in his lab, about to dissect an animal he had finally come across when the sound had invaded his thoughts.
He smiled at the animal and got on his chair. "I'll be right back."
As he made his way to Marie's room, he thought about how much he liked her. He had been trying to tell her how he felt, when she would interrupt him with her silly antics. He didn't care what she made for supper, or brought into the house as long as it wasn't that girly.
Once he reached her door he found it open. He rolled his chair in, but immediately stopped.
"Um, Marie? Is everything alright?" She was staring at her bed with a starry eyed gaze. It was then that Stein realized what was going to happen next.
"I'm going to marry this pillow."
Stein's eyes went wide in shock as she launched into a full blown rant about how wonderful a pillow would be for a husband.
"A pillow would be the perfect husband! Always there for you, so soft and willing to cuddle!" She squealed jumping up and down with excitement.
As Marie continued her rant, Stein had one thought in mind; he needed to put a stop to this.
"Marie a pillow would be a great husband-"
"I know!"
"-If you could put up with him sleeping with everyone in the bed."
Marie stopped, and stared at him, her happy expression slowly fading.
"And even though you'd wash his sheet for him, he'd never actually be clean."
Marie's expression took on an almost angry look.
"And soon he'd get soft, and lumpy. Do you really want that in a husband?"
Marie stood up and glared at the pillow.
"YOU LYING, CHEATING, FILTHY BASTARD!"
Marie walked out of the room, the remains of the pillow smoking and Stein stared at them.
Thank god that was over. All he's have to make sure was that it would never happen again.
He rolled his chair out of the room, a faint smile on his face when he thought of how he'd eventually be able to confess his love for Marie.
Hm, he thought. Valentine's day is coming up.
Will I need a rabbit's heart or a frog's…
Of course he'd use a rabbit's. Marie did love bunnies after all.
Hope you enjoyed this!
