Sirius Black was bored. For many other people this meant that they shouldn't raise an eyebrow, because they didn't really need to deal with the Gryffindor. For Remus Lupin however, it meant that he had to deal with the agony of finding something for the dog Animagus to do.

This was probably one of the things that Remus detested most about his friend. When Sirius got bored he would have to come up with a task that would amuse the boy for an hour or two until James Potter, would be back from his rounds (He was head boy) and entertain his friend easily.

For Remus, the phase didn't seem to come as naturally to him, as it did to James, which was why when Sirius threw himself onto his bed with a groan, the young werewolf sighed.

"Moony," Sirius started, as he brushed a wisp of his black hair out of his face, "I'm bored..."

Remus hated to be the one to admit it, but he wished that Sirius would go bother someone else with his whining. He wanted to just continue reading his book, and try and start on his ancient runes essay by the end of the night.

"Do something then." Remus muttered, as he turned the page, his eyes now scanning across the werewolf section as he shook his head at common misconceptions about his kind.

"But I don't know what I want to do...!" Sirius moaned his voice dragging on as he waited for Remus to cave in. This time however it seemed that Remus could ignore his voice for a few minutes longer than he usually did.

"Right, be creative then." Remus continued, as he felt a smile twitch at the side of his lips. Once again he turned the page, before looking up at the clock quickly. He had twenty minutes to stall Sirius until James got back.

"But I don't want to be creative, I want something to do!"

"I gave you something to do Padfoot." Remus chided, as he righted himself on his bed to make his position more comfortable, "What you choose to do with it is your choice."

Sirius' face darkened,

"You're a real prick, you know that right?"

"I have been told that once or twice." Remus spoke, and because his expression sounded so sincere – so serious, Sirius seemed to cheer up slightly. His good mood immediately disappeared when Remus added, "But you've been told about a thousand times."

Sirius scowled, though the two marauders knew he didn't mean anything bad about it.

"I'll give you chocolate if you find something for me to do." Sirius finally asked, causing Remus to look up from his book.

"I'll get chocolate?" Remus asked quickly, causing Sirius to finally smile a smile that yelled 'Success!'

"Yes!"

"Okay," Remus spoke with a sly smile, "You want something to do? Get the chocolate out for me first."

Sirius did as Remus asked with a confused expression on his face, not grasping what was going on in Remus' mind until he passed Remus the chocolate bar.

"Thanks Sirius," Remus grinned, a grin that told Sirius that Remus had gone all logical on him, "and I hope you enjoyed that something to do."

Sirius sighed as he flopped down on his bed.

Remus smiled as took a victory bite from his chocolate bar.
