Well lookie who is posting here again. It's been over three years, but I'm back! With a new fandom and new characters, but apparently, I'm just as obsessed with crossovers as I was before.

In any case, this was written for a challenge on a LJ community in which I had to take one character and stick him/her into another fandom. So this happened.

Enjoy!

"Kaylee, would you mind explaining how exactly she came to be on my ship?"

Kate Beckett registered that someone was talking, and this someone didn't seem too pleased. She pretended she was still unconscious, trying to remember how she had gotten here. There had been a crime scene…and some silver device that she'd picked up. She didn't remember any more. It could have been some kind of weapon of some sort.

She seemed to be lying on a soft surface of some sort, but beyond that, she didn't know where she was, and she didn't want to open her eyes quite yet. Not until she knew what she was dealing with.

"I don't rightly know, Captain," a female voice said. "She just sorta appeared in the cargo bay."

"Do you think the gorram Feds are behind this?" another voice, a deeper male voice growled.

"Jayne, if the Alliance was behind this, don't you think they'd be a bit more subtle than dumping some jian die in the middle of our ship?"

There was the sound of feet walking around, and Beckett had the distinct feeling that she was being studied. She fought temptation to open her eyes.

Someone new spoke. "I've been checking her vitals, and apart from being unconscious, she's completely healthy."

"Her being healthy don't exactly give me reassurance, Doctor." It was the first man who had spoken.

"Don't be so paranoid, Captain! She looks perfectly nice!"

"I'm just tryin' to be careful, Kaylee. Don't want her killing us all in our sleep."

A new voice entered the fray. Beckett quickly assessed it. Young, female. "She's a bird with a broken wing that's trapped out of her time. She's forgotten how to sing."

"Have I ever told you that your sister is a little fong luh, Doctor?"

"You may have mentioned it once or twice, Captain."

Beckett had had enough. She opened her eyes and looked around. She seemed to be in some kind of medical area. There was a dark haired man checking a screen – probably the doctor someone had mentioned. A younger girl in overalls stood nearby, and next to her was a taller man Beckett wouldn't want to cross in a dark alley at night.

She turned her head to the right. A younger girl stood next to her, peering down at her cautiously.

"You're awake." It was the first voice again. Beckett turned her head the other way.

She blinked, confused.

"Castle? Where the hell am I? What is going on?"

He showed no sign of recognizing the name, or of Beckett herself. "I don't know what the di yu you're talking about, but I want to know who you are and why you're on my boat."

Beckett let her head fall back to the pillow with a groan. She had a feeling it was going to be one of those days.

Jian die: Spy
Fong luh: Loopy
Di Yu: Hell

This wasn't meant to be more than a one-shot, but we'll see what happens. I may or may not already ship Mal and Kate, sooooo…let's see. I could be persuaded to write more…

Finally…Reviews are love.

Thank you guys!
