I took a deep breath and walked down the hill where my brother and his idiot friend James Potter where sitting. "Sirius I need to talk to you about something," I said. "I want you to leave Severus alone." Sirius and James began laughing. "It's not funny! He's my best friend and you have no idea what his life has been like," I yelled.
James eyes lit up in a way that made me think damn it he's thinking again. James thinking never ended well for me. "Emmerson we'll leave him alone," he said a wicked smile spreading across his face, "If you go to Hogsmede with me this weekend."
My jaw as well as Sirius' dropped. "But... but you fancy Lily!" I protested and he shrugged. After a long pause I added, "One date and you'll leave him alone untill the end of seventh year?"
"Yep! You'll be begging me for another after the first but... what do you say?"
"Fine," I said gritting my teeth. As much as I hated Potter I would do anything to get he and my brother of Severus' back. "I'll meet you in the Entrance Hall at eleven," I said and then I walked away.
As I left I heard Sirius yell,"DUDE WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?" and I smiled.
