I don't own Harry Potter or anything related to it.
Being Ginny
It was Wednesday. The worst sodding day of the entire bloody week as far as a certain fiery redhead was concerned. She sat curled in a ball in the far corner of an empty classroom on the third hoped her basic silencing charm worked as her sobs echoed through the empty room. It was all his fault that she felt this way. Felt as though her heart was being stabbed by hundreds of shards of broken glass. Figuratively of course. She wished someone would just use the Cruciatus Curse on her; maybe it would lessen some of her pain.
"Ginny?" someone whispered as they stepped towards the huddled girl in the corner of the room.
The redhead hadn't heard anyone entering over the sound of her tears and quickly sat up, rubbing them from her face. "Oh, hey Luna," she replied, sniffling. "What are you doing here?"
"I overheard Harry and Hermione wondering where you had gone off to. They mentioned you had been upset so I figured I'd try around here, as its one of the places I come to cry sometimes. No one seems to ever be teaching in this room."
"Well thanks I guess, but I'd rather just be alone right now, if you don't mind, Luna."
"Nonsense!" the blonde girl stated. "What you need now is some cheering up." She helped Ginny off the floor and leaned in close, their faces inches apart.
"H…How do you plan on doing that?" Ginny stuttered, startled by how close they now were. She was both dreading and, curiously, longing for Luna to answer.
Slowly, as if daring the redhead to back away, Luna drew closer still, her silvery-gray eyes never leaving Ginny's chocolaty-brown ones. Ginny's eyes however, were locked on Luna's luscious looking lips.
"L…Luna, I…I, er…"
Luna silenced the Gryffindor quickly as their lips met. The kiss was gentle and slow. Ginny's eyes almost burst from their sockets until Luna intensified the kiss. Her eyes fluttered shut as a moan escaped her. As the kiss deepened, the girls' bodies melded together. A smile graced Luna's lips as Ginny pulled her closer. Ginny's lips parted allowing the Ravenclaw to explore the Gryffindor's mouth with her tongue. Luna's lips then left Ginny's as she trailed them down the other girl's neck, finding the spot just under her ear that made the lioness purr. Ginny backed Luna up against the wall returning the favor when she found the place under her chin that made the Ravenclaw sigh with contentment. Ginny passionately brought her lips back up to Luna's, her hands tangled in the long blonde locks of her friend, while Luna's hands rested lightly on Ginny's waist.
It felt like much too soon when the door to the classroom burst open.
"Ginny! There you are! We were worried!" Hermione said as she Ron and Harry entered the room. Ginny and Luna sprang apart, both looking slightly flushed. Hermione gave them a questioning look, but before she could voice her queries Ron loudly announced that he was absolutely starving and said that they better hurry or they would miss dinner altogether. Harry laughed as Ginny and Hermione rolled their eyes.
"You guys go on ahead; we'll catch up in a minute." Ginny held back waiting to be sure everyone was out of hearing range.
"I'm really sorry, Luna, I don't know what came over me."
"Don't apologize. I cheered you up. And you were simply being Ginny," Luna said with a smile that Ginny returned. Luna happily skipped out the door to catch up with the others. Ginny sighed as she walked out of the classroom after her friends with two thoughts going through her mind.
Being Ginny, she thought with a laugh. I like it. Aloud she said, "Maybe Wednesdays aren't so bad after all."
So what did you think?
