Emma was sitting in her office going over reports, not that it really needed to be done. Everything had been quiet in Storybrooke since its return.
"Hello Love." She looked up to see Hook in her doorway giving her that look. That look that hit right at her core, and she knew she was in for trouble.
"Somebody steal your boat or something?"
"Ship darling, as you well know, and no I have come upon an entirely different matter." He walked around her desk pulling her chair round so he was standing directly in front of her.
"Which is?" She replied looking up at him, trying to put up a good front of being able to resist him.
His smile grew, "Well, I was eating my break fast at Grannies as usual and happened to ask her about all the pink and red rubbish she had strewn about, she then explained to me about this Saint Valentine's Day your world celebrates."
"mmm, hmmm." Emma hadn't told him about Valentine's Day because she hadn't wanted him to know. It was always a let-down in her experience, and she hadn't wanted to test their new relationship with such an unimportant holiday. Not even a real holiday.
"Well, it seems to me that if this is a day for celebrating lovers, then I must partake." He pulled her chair closer, so she had to look up at him.
"It's a stupid holiday… not even a real one… just to make people start buying stuff again." She rambled as her mind ran over all the things his last phrase could have meant.
"The origins are of no consequence. What matters is the feeling."
He leaned closer to her, and Emma was itching to pull him into a kiss. Her lust must have passed over her face as his sexy smile turned into a triumphant one and he stepped away, turning to walk out the door.
"My Ship, 6 o'clock Swan, don't make me come find you."
She let out a sigh, of relief or frustration she wasn't sure. She was sure she was going to be on the Jolly Roger that night. Though she would probably wait until 6:05 to show up, she had to find some way to keep her life interesting.
