Kissed Me Goodnight

You always were present

When I thought otherwise;

You always listened

To my pitiful cries;

You, my Lord,

Kissed me goodnight

When I pushed Your lovely face away

Love

Your love is never-ending,

Even when I loathed You;

I drew many stars,

And hearts were few;

But You, my Spirit,

Kissed me goodnight

When I pushed Your lovely face away

Love

You spoke to me persistently,

And I covered my ears;

You embraced me tightly

When I wept in prayer;

You, my Father,

Kissed me goodnight

When I pushed Your lovely face away.

Love

I love You, Daddy;

Guide me to Your home

Where I can perfectly praise Thee,

Remembering: You always kissed me goodnight.

I used to mention parts of this poem in my prayers before I was saved. I spent nights crying, wishing I had someone to tuck me in, to love me, to kiss me goodnight. I never knew that God always loved me, tucked me in, and kissed me goodnight.

JESUS TAUGHT!

"Anyone who hates a fellow-believer is a murderer...," (John 3:15). Satan hated us so much that he brought us death, so if you hate, you are considered a murderer. Jesus loved us so much that He brought us life.

God bless you,
