Zacharie ran as fast as his legs could carry him. He panted heavily; he wouldn't be able to run for much longer. He was running desperately from his friend, the Batter. For some inexplicable reason, Batter had turned into Bad Batter, and was now chasing Zacharie through the Zones, trying to kill him. Zacharie ran breathlessly, until he finally reached a dead end. He slammed his fist against the wall in anger. Dammit! I'm going to die here all alone, he thought to himself. Suddenly, a dark shadow appeared from behind him. Zacharie turned around quickly, only to be face to face with Bad Batter himself. Bad Batter growled, drool dripping from his long jaw. Zacharie's heart raced, as he knew there was no way in hell he would be able to fight off this beast. Zacharie backed away from his friend, until he bumped into something. He turned, only to find that he was right near a wall. Shit. Bad Batter slowly walked towards Zach, his clawed feet making noise as they scratched across the floor. Zacharie gulped. Bad Batter finally was face to face with Zacharie. Batter growled loudly. Zacharie could feel tears well up in his eyes; he didn't want to die, not like this. Batter roared, his saliva splattering all over Zacharie. Zach wiped it off his face and then proceeded to grab Batter's baseball bat and shove it between Bad Batter's jaws. While his friend struggled, Zacharie pushed past him and ran away. After a few minutes of struggling, Bad Batter eventually managed to get the bat free from his jaws. He then proceeded to search for Zach.

Zacharie was hiding in a dark corner in Zone 1, tears falling out from under his cat mask. He sniffled; he didn't want this hideous monster, he wanted his friend. Suddenly, Zach heard the scrape of long nails against the floor. He gasped loudly. He was here.

Bad Batter walked towards Zacharie, seeming even more pissed off than earlier. Zacharie trembled and choked back tears. Bad Batter came right next to Zach, growling angrily. Zacharie could smell blood on his breath, and began to sob. He didn't want to die at the hands of his best friend; his only friend. Bad Batter was about to lunge at Zacharie, but Zach quickly dodged and tackled him to the ground. Bad Batter struggled, but Zacharie held him down firmly. Zacharie leaned down and hugged the creature tightly. Batter stopped roaring and listened to Zacharie's muffled sobs.

"P-please stop, B-batter! This isn't l-like you! I don't w-want this m-monster, I want m-my best friend, my o-only friend! Please, B-Batter! I l-love you!"

Zacharie screamed loudly. Batter started to shrink, and Zach gasped. When Zach looked down, he saw his friend, Batter, tearing up. Zacharie got off of him and sighed in relief. Batter looked at Zach's trembling body, and pulled it closely to him. Batter began to cry silently.

"I-I'm so sorry, Zach. I didn't mean to turn into Bad Batter, but I was just really angry and… and I'm really sorry."

Zach smiled into Batter's shoulder. "It's alright, amigo. I'm just glad that you're back to normal."

They continued to hug for a long, long time.

(AN: wow so okay I'm not really sure what this is but I just wanted to write about Bad Batter so yeah. Plus I've been cutting recently and been feeling kind of melancholy, so I thought this might liven my spirits a bit. Anyways, faves, follows, and reviews are greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a nice day/night)
