Hey everybody!! So, this is just a little poem i did months ago for English class. I did it thinking of NaruHina. It's Hinata's thoughts on some things while in High School. Other characters are mentioned, too. you should know who they are, though. Enjoy!
Seasons
I wake in the morning, happy to think of you
And you're all in my mind as I walk to school
As you pass I try to give you a smile
I end up just murmuring a 'hi' and looking at the grass
At lunch, you're with them
The guys who can always lighten your day
We walk by and you share a smile
One that made Apollo(1) green with envy
his sun seems cold and forgotten all of a sudden
We sit next to you
she laughs with you, I look at you
You look back and say 'hi'
Suddenly, homework doesn't seem that bad (2)
The summer dance is round the corner
I wonder, who you will take?
I should've known you'd take her
And, how could I be jealous, of my best friend?
If you could
shower me with the sunlight
I need in order to grow
would you...?
You look so funny
But I can't help but worry when you two quarrel
He always gets under your skin
You hate how cool he makes everything seem
'You're so special', you say
'Always getting all the attention'
'That's not true!' I wanted to scream
I was always looking at you
He shrugs and you get madder
The girls sigh at how he acts
How couldn't you see that you were the sun,
Even during an eclipse,
his moon couldn't stop you from shining
The fall dance is round the corner
I wonder, who will you take?
You make the leaves fall, shining so bright
I fell even harder for you
I was just a shrub, she was a tree
You made her cherry blossoms fall in their beauty
Even when such a tree looks better in the moon
If you took your rays of sunshine
and gave them to another
would you still leave some
for me...?
The air is moist and cold
I see my breath as I sigh
...You're late
I see your car pull up near the sidewalk
As your window rolls down, the warm air escapes
As it hits me in the face, I know its red
Your smile is still radiant even after the few years
'You didn't wait long, did ya?'
'No' I reply
I get on, as we ride towards our destination
Leaving the bittersweet snow behind us
And go towards the horizon
'The winter dance is round the corner'
'So I heard' he says
'I wonder, who would you take?'
You aren't planning on going, I already know
Winter isn't you thing
You smile, you know that I know
I smile back
If I slept during winter
and waited for the cold days to pass
Would you wake me up in the end?
...I know you would
Spring always come after winter.

(1) Apollo is the god of the sun. Hina-chan's just saying that Naru-kun's smile seems brighter than the sun, which would make Apollo green with envy!...stupid, I kno. T.T
(2) meaning that she takes the burdens of school just to see him, get it?
