JD and Clay spend some time together after his break up.
Somehow some way, especially with his best friend by his side, JD Stanton knows he'll find healing after heartbreak.
JD/Clay friendship. Major AU/featured OC.
He never thought she'd walk out on him like that.
And since she did, she'd left him devastated.
So he'd told his landlord that he was moving out effective at the end of the month and immediately began moving most of his things out. He knew this apartment was the one his cousin was waiting for, so he planned to move back home immediately.
It's more than the fact that JJ wants this apartment though, and he knows it.
So by the end of the day the only things he had in there that weren't moved into his room at his parent's house were his hampers, luggage clothes and recliner.
A week after the breakup found him in Anaheim with long time friend Clayton Evans and his son Clay.
"Come on brother," Clay pouted, "God, I need a girl to make you forget Vivian or something, quit sulking man! You're depressing me!"
"Junior, take it easy on the kid okay?" the elder Evans finally spoke up.
"I know Dad, I just I hate seeing him depressed like this," Clay sighed.
"I know," Clayton sighed, "But I have an idea."
A few minutes later they arrived at Lucky Strike Lanes in Hollywood.
"Bowling?" JD sighed.
"Dad, this might not have been the best idea," Clay pointed out.
"1 hour, I reserved a lane for one hour," Clayton said.
An hour later JD was grinning, "299? I haven't bowled like that in a LONG time!"
"Okay," Clay laughed, "Maybe it was a good idea!"
As Sunday approached, JD sighed, "Man, your spring break is a week? That sucks man."
"Hey," Clay said turning around with a smile, "You'll heal."
"I know." JD nodded, "Thanks for coming out here."
And if there was one thing that JD Stanton did know, it was that he would find healing after heartbreak, and he wouldn't ever stop believing.
