A/N: My first fanfic! I decided to write a little differently, so if it's not grammatically correct or sounds a bit weird, that's how its supposed to sound. Unless it's a load of crap – that's a different story... Please review.

"Masqueraded Love"

By Soulpatch

ONE SHOT

(very short)

Hello. My name is Hermione Granger. I have two best friends of which I have known for nearly seven years. They always were concerned for my welfare and ceaselessly hope that I have a good life in the future.

I loved someone once but it was a facade. Those words were put into my mouth. I love you. And it pained me to say and deceive someone in that manner. He loved me, more than I deserved. But we were perfect. He had plans for the future, something that included my happiness and those of my friends. They loved him like a brother and we were all perfect. But I was not happy and that, I could not reveal to anyone.

Until one day, I fell for someone. I told him my secrets, those that I could not reveal to anyone. I felt he understood me, more than anyone else could. He understood me even more so than my closest friends. We shared a passion but it was a secret, one that we could not reveal to anyone. And I had plans for our future, one that included our happiness. I said I loved him. And he loved me but it was a facade.

I realized as he broke my heart. He pushed me away and told me that what we had was not his true feelings. I loved him, more than he deserved. My sorrow would not escape me. My friends were concerned for my welfare and guided me to one that still loved me. Those words were put into my mouth. I am sorry. I loved him once more but it was a facade.

To whomever it may concern. My name is Draco Malfoy. I have parents who always concerned for my welfare and ceaselessly hope that I have a successful life in the future. They had plans for the future, something that included my happiness. But I was not happy and that, I could not reveal to anyone.

Until one day, I fell for someone. I told her my secrets, those that I could not reveal to anyone. I felt she understood me, more than my parents could. We shared a passion but it was a secret, one that we could not reveal to anyone. She said she loved me. And I loved her. But I could not provide her with plans for the future.

I told her our love was a facade. And it pained me to say and deceive someone in that manner. She loved me, more than I deserved. I pushed her away. My sorrow could not escape me. I am sorry. The whisper was played across my lips. But she did not hear me. Her friends were concerned for her welfare and guided her to him once again. They were perfect. He had plans for the future, something that included her happiness. She loved him once more.
