Challenging Relationships
Ruby smudged her last French fry through the ketchup on her plate. She was still licking her fingers when Sam arrived, although she tried not to stare as he strode over.
She gestured at the seat opposite, but he sat beside her.
"You said you had a proposition for me," Sam growled. He smelt like sweat and cordite.
Ruby pouted. "You want me to put out, but you don't even buy me dinner first?"
"Looks like you've eaten already."
"I've a big appetite," she purred.
"Little thing like you; won't it be too much?"
"I enjoy a challenge," she smirked.
