Pointless fluff, because Zephyr's knowledge of KagePro is kind of minimal. O3o
Verse One:
"...C-cold."
She should've been getting used to this by now. But it wasn't like Takane enjoyed waking up in the middle of the night because the blankets had been torn away from her either. She rolled over to her side, stared at Haruka. Was it worth it?
Yes. It was.
Verse Two:
It's not their anniversary or Takane's birthday or anything like that, but Haruka still feels the need to buy something for her. There are a lot of options to choose from. He passes over quite a few that Takane might like, and then he notices one in particular- it's perfect.
Verse Three:
"What is it?" Takane asks, inspecting the messily wrapped package. She pokes it; it's soft and shifts under her fingers easily, while the wrapping makes a crinkling noise. 'Weird time for a gift.'
"Something that you can use," Haruka assures her, beaming. "It's going to solve all of our problems."
Verse Four:
The useful object turns out to be a blanket. It won't solve all of their problems, but Takane can see where he's coming from with this. The pattern is a bit peculiar though, something she thinks Haruka picked out for himself more than her.
"Dinosaurs?"
She waits for an explanation.
Verse Five:
"Yeah," he's still beaming, the playful singsong of his voice making it hard to continue being incredulous.
One sappy "so you'll think of me even in your dreams!" explanation later and Takane's face is lit up brighter than the lights on the Christmas tree they still haven't bothered taking down.
Verse Six:
The blanket is warm, the same as Takane's face every time she thinks back to that incident earlier that day. Haruka's good will and compassionate thoughts make everything warm.
Takane rolls over to her side, clutching fistfuls of her new blanket and feeling overall content with how things turned out.
