Young Noire is hiding behind an ornamental banner of Ylisse displayed on a wall. Peaking and seeing that nobody is around, she quickly left her hiding place and runs through the hall. At the end of the hall is a bend. Noire stops and peaks to see if the coast is clear.
It's not. Five hundred meters from Noire's place is her mother, Tharja.
Terrified, Noire turns away and runs back to where she was ago. She continues to run and occasionally looks back, making sure Mother is not following behind. She was not looking where she's going, she accidentally bumps into someone. Noire is grabbed by the shoulders before she falls.
"AAHH!" The terrified Noire looks up, then relaxes when she saw the beautiful person with flowing golden hair, just like her.
"Daughter." The soft-spoken Libra, resident monk of castle Ylisse, said. "What's wrong?"
"Father!" Noire sobs. "Please help me! Mother's doing it again!"
Libra closes his eyes and his brows furrows. "She's making you her guinea pig again?"
"Mm-hmm." Noire answers as she nodded her head.
"What is it this time?"
"She puts a curse that makes rats bite me, and then she made another that makes cats chase me. I have to throw rocks on them so they won't hurt me. I thought I escaped Mother, but she found me, then made a curse that made my nose bleed. Another also made me fall down and start shaking. And-"
"I've heard enough." The exasperate Libra interrupts. He forcefully exhales before opening his eyes. "I'll tell your mother to stop doing her experiments on you."
"You said that like a hundred times already!" Noire cries. "But what you say never works!"
"I'll make sure she'll never do it again."
"You also said that a hundred times!"
"This time, I'll make her stop." Libra promised.
Noire's personality changed. From a beautiful and ethereal, blonde angel, she became an angry and terrifying demon.
"BLOOD AND THUNDER! YOU FOOL OF A FATHER! YOUR FALSE PROMISES ARE LIKE THE DEEP, BLACK ABYSS!" She immediately returns to her timid self when her wide eyes are looking behind Libra. Then she runs away, leaving her perplexed father behind.
Running upstairs, Noire finds a pedestal and hides behind it. From below, she heard her parents' voices. She takes a peek and saw them stop and having a conversation. Their voices are inaudible but Noire could tell they're having a quarrel. No doubt their subject is her.
With her sharp eyes, which are developed to look out for Mother or any kind of danger so she had a chance to flee, Noire could see that the angry Tharja keeps on interrupting Libra. When Libra hung his head, Noire knew immediately that Father lost against Mother. Again. And that means she's in danger. Seeing Tharja climbs the stairs and leaves the defeated Libra alone, Noire silently left her hiding place.
It seems she needs to keep on fleeing from any form of danger.
Haha. My cuzin's right. I can relate to Noire because sometimes, I also have a split personality. And she's my favorite future child.
Why Libra and Tharja as Noire's parents? In Lissa's support conversation with Libra, she describes him as 'ethereal'. The same word also describes Noire in Inigo's S support with her. And in Noire's supports with the other future boys, she's considered delicate.
Why does Noire have a split personality and why is her starting class is Archer? My answers are in the story.
Hope you like this.
