A/N: Hello, there! This is my first FanFic, so I hope the writing style is not too terrible for your taste. I've edited as much as I can, but constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated so I can bring you even better chapters. I hope you all enjoy and thanks for giving me a chance!

Chapter 1

Emily nervously sat at her desk across from a tall, intimidating, yet friendly brunette. Spencer Hastings had sent an email a few weeks back asking if they could set up a meeting to see if Emily would be a good fit in physically training her client for an upcoming role. This wasn't just any client however, this was Alison DiLaurentis. The Alison DiLaurentis. The blonde bombshell who was taking Hollywood by storm by diving into roles in dramas, rom-coms, and all kinds of action movies. Her latest project was expected to be one of the most anticipated action movies when set to be released.

"You seem to know your stuff, Fields." Spencer said looking back up at Emily impressed by her resume and references of some B-list names. "A Bachelor's in Exercise Science, a registered dietitian, and a Master's in Nutrition. And the fact you swam nationally ranked all through college. It's easy to see you're very passionate about what you do. I like that." Spencer smiled excitedly, knowing she'd found what she's been looking for.

"Yes ma'am." Emily said timidly, internally slapping herself for calling Spencer ma'am. They were practically the same age. She'd been nervous for weeks now about this meeting; getting this job could do wonders for her career.

"Please call me Spencer." She chuckled back at Emily, who relaxed in her seat a bit upon hearing the brunette's small laugh. The intimidation radiating off of Spencer was starting to disappear and Emily noticed she hadn't stopped smiling since she looked up from the papers. "I think it's safe to say you're going to be a great fit for the DiLaurentis team Emily Fields. Now, our plan of action is for you to work her out and plan all of her meals for the next six months before she starts shooting. Since this is a big movie I ask that you not take on any other clients for these next few months. Alison wants you to be available 24/7 especially if you're monitoring her diet. You'll need to be at the house first thing in the morning to begin training and cook all of her meals and make her snacks. You'll start work at 6 AM Monday through Friday. Here's what we're willing to pay." Spencer slid a small piece of paper across the desk. Emily's eyes widened as she read the number, mentally doing the math in her head. By the end of the six months she could open a second location and get new equipment.

"That should be no problem at all. I can pass on the clients I have now to my other trainers and Derek can take over while I'm training Alison. Is she coming here or…?" Emily questioned.

"Actually, Alison has almost an entire gym at her residence. She'd prefer to work out at home. That way you can meal prep in her kitchen and then leave when you're done for the day."

Spencer stood from her chair, "Do you have any other questions?"

"Not at the moment, no."

"Okay. Would you be able to come by tomorrow to meet Alison? She's very eager to get started with her training." How about 10:00? We have some meetings to get through tomorrow." Spencer mumbled as she checked her phone.

"Sure, 10 is perfect." Emily standing too, suddenly nervous again. All of the pressure started to hit her like a truck. "What's the address?"

"Here, let me write it down." Spencer takes her business card out of her big black bag.

Emily took the card squinting her eyes at the new information she just received. "Wow, a mansion in Venice Beach?"

"Yeah, Noel and Alison like to be near the beach."

Emily laughed. How could she forget that Alison is dating A-list actor Noel Kahn. The charming, sexy, and multi-award-winning bachelor (before Alison stole his heart.) He was even People's Sexiest Man Alive a few years ago.

"Well, I can't wait to meet Alison. I'll see you tomorrow at 10:00. Thank you so much for this opportunity, Spencer."

"You're exactly the person we were looking for. I'm positive you're going to be a great fit." I'll see you tomorrow." Spencer said reaching out to shake Emily's hand.

Emily let out a sigh as Spencer released her hand and began to watch her walk out of her office. Then, she pulled out her cellphone, and clicked on the contact she was looking for.

There was a voice after the first ring. "Oh my God how did it go!?"

"Hi to you too Han." Emily laughed. "I'm good, how are you?"

"Quit stalling and tell me you got the job."

"I got the job."

She had to pull the phone away from her ear because of Hanna's shrieks of joy. "I cannot believe you're going to be working with Alison DiLaurentis. She's fabulous. Did you see what she wore to the Academy Awards last year? Oh my God that dress was flawless!" Suddenly Hanna gasped. "When you two become best friends you can introduce me? And then I can design her next dress!"

"Hanna, slow down. I haven't even met her yet. And I'm just her trainer…and I guess her chef for the next six months. I doubt we'll have anything other than a professional relationship. Anyway, I've got to go settle some things around here before I come home. I just thought I'd let you know."

"Of course you had to let me know, Em. I'm your best friend. I'll see you at home later. Bye! Love ya!"

Emily ended the call and slid her phone back into her pocket. Still feeling a bit uneasy from the amount of pressure she's under for the next six months, she left her office to find Derek.

She walked past his office, noticing he's not in there she decided to head straight up the stairs into the cardio and circuit room. She found him sitting at the leg press machine, towel around his neck and headphones in, sweating through his black Determination Gym work shirt.

Emily stood there, clearing her throat so that he would notice her. Derek, finishing his set, looked up to see Emily glaring at him. "What did I tell you about working out in uniform?" She put air quotes around uniform because technically the trainers wear t shirts with trainer written in big white letters on the back while they're with clients. "It looks like you're not on the job."

A big grin spread across both of their faces. "Sorry boss, you know I can't help but work out whenever I can."

Emily couldn't help but admire his motivation. Derek clearly put time into his fit body. Not to mention he's tall, with short brown hair, and green eyes. Any girl would fall for him. But not Emily…he's not her type.

"I came to tell you I got the job working for Alison. So you'll be taking over for the next six months. I'll have to pass all my clients on to you and a few of the others."

"What!? That's awesome boss! You're gonna be training a hot celebrity! That's really gonna bring personnel into Determination." Derek raised his hand to receive a high five. Emily happily obliges. She loved the way Derek was supportive of not only her, but also, the gym. It's one of the reasons she let him take over while she was gone.

"So you have no problem taking over?"

"Nope. Everything will be all good here."

"I'll probably stop in every once in a while to check up on things. Don't miss me too much though." Emily winked.

"Don't worry boss, I won't miss you at all." Derek winked back. Emily was grateful for the playful relationship she had with Derek. They were always that way. He was like the brother she never had.

"I'll see you later, Derek." She looked up at him.

"See ya Em." He looked into her eyes and smiled wide. "I know you're gonna crush this."

A little while later, Emily walked into the door of her apartment and heard mumbling coming from the kitchen.

"Hanna?"

"HEY EM!" Hanna perked up from the pantry with a mouth full of chips. She swallowed and ran to hug Emily.

"I'm so fucking excited that you got this job! It's gonna be great! You HAVE to get me into her closet."

Emily wrapped her arms around Hanna to hug her back. "Slow down, Han. I have to meet her first."

"Oh yeah. When is that going to be?" Hanna asked.

"Tomorrow at 10." Emily said nervously. Hanna, sensing the nervousness in her voice, was immediately knocked down a notch.

"Hey, Em. It's going to be okay. Look, I know you've been in your own little bubble since your dad died but now's the time to step out."

She was right. Emily's nervousness wasn't just the pressure of training a celebrity for a movie, she was also nervous to get back to the world outside of her inner circle. When her dad died, it had been the worst time in her life. She became a numb, hollow person. Everyone let Emily take a step back and grieve while she slowly picked up the pieces. Everyone except the one person she thought she needed most in her life: her girlfriend, Paige. Paige couldn't handle Emily's depressive side. When she broke things off, Emily fell even deeper into a dark hole. She'd come a long way in the past few years since it happened, but she still mostly just kept to herself.

"You have to do this Emily. Not just for your career, but for you. You have to get to know people again." Emily smiled at Hanna's sincerity. That's why she never shut Hanna out. She always kept her on steady ground.

"You're right. I have to do this. Thank you, Hanna." She put on the best smile she could. "I'm going to go to get ready for bed and try to prepare myself for tomorrow." She went to hug Hanna again.

Hanna, giving her a big squeeze, replied, "Okay, if you need anything just knock on my door. Good night, Em."

"Night, Han." She turned to walk out of the kitchen and into her room, mentally preparing herself for tomorrow morning.
