Not so Mudblood

She couldn't take it anymore. He had pushed her to her limit and she couldn't take it anymore.

Hermione fell to her knees, tears streaming down her pale face.

She wasn't going to take anymore of his bullshit. This would the last time she let Ron hurt her. And Harry. He may be her best friend but he always sided with Ron.

Well, that wasn't going to happen anymore, she thought, as she pulled the blade from her robes.

It was late, and no one would find her until morning.

'Goodbye Ron' she whispered, as the blade sank into her torso. Her eyes closed as her head hit the floor.

Draco Malfoy. The prince of Slytherin. Also Head boy.

Draco hated that he had to patrol that night. He still had to finish that transfiguration essay for McGonagall. Old hag, he thought to himself.

And where was the head girl? No one had seen Hermione since dinner, and she wasn't in the Head tower.

His area to patrol that night was the astronomy tower. As he climbed the steep stairs he heard a noise.

It was very quiet, but it was there. The sound of someone crying. Then it stopped.

Draco quickly climbed up to investigate. Pushing open the door open quietly he peeped his head through the door. There on the floor was his fellow head.

Draco rushed over to see why she was on the floor, when he saw the blade. Oh shit.

His face went pale as he checked for a pulse. Draco began to panic as he couldn't find one. Then he heard her breathing. She was alive!

Gently picking her up, he quickly rushed out of the tower to the hospital wing. Barging the door open with his left shoulder, as not hit Hermione's head, he yelled for Madam Pomfrey.

'What are doing here at this hour mister Malfoy?' asked Madam Pomfrey, stopping when she saw Hermione.

'Quickly, put her here' she motioned him over to a bed. Draco gently laid her down.

Working quickly, Madam Pomfrey questioned him 'What happened to Miss Granger, Mister Malfoy?' she asked, not stopping her work while doing so.

Draco turned his gaze away from Hermione 'I don't know, I found her while patrolling the astronomy tower' he spoke quietly.

'Yes, well, go into my office and call Professor Dumbledore on the floo' she instructed him. Draco left the room.

When he returned, he was surprised to see Dumbledore was already there, but then, hey, that Dumbledore for you.

The old headmaster spoke 'Mister Malfoy, I must thank you for finding Miss Granger, only moments later would we have lost her' Draco let out a sigh of relief that he didn't know that he had been holding.

'And now, Mister Malfoy, I must let you get to your dormitory. It has been a long night for you-' Dumbledore began.

'Can't stay with her, sir?' Draco butted in quickly. Madam Pomfrey was about to object, but Dumbledore raised a hand to stop her.

'If you promise not to disturb her, I should see no reason why not, goodnight mister Malfoy' and with that Dumbledore left the infirmary. Draco sat down next to Hermione. Madam Pomfrey left the room, muttering about interfering with her patients.

Draco looked at Hermione, she looked so peaceful, as if she was in a natural slumber.

Then Draco noticed something on his hands. Blood. Her blood. It must of rubbed when he was carrying her.

The blood was bright red. The same as his own.

'You're not so Mudblood, Granger' he whispered softly.

The end!
