It had been snowing a few days ago, and while Republic City was still covered in muddy slush, the park was beautiful
and sunny. The only noises around were the sounds of birds chirping, the creek bubbling, and... A rather loud protest
in the middle of the park. "Are you tired of living under the tyranny of Benders? Then join the Equalists!" A man was
standing on a small table in front of a sign with a masked man on it, while a small crowd gathered around him. Of this
crowd, two hooded figures in particular were listening to every word he said, as if waiting for something. "For too long,
the Bending elite of this city have forced Non-Benders to live as lower class citizens!" The man shouted through his
megaphone. "Join Amon," He continued, and the two cloaked figures leaned in eagerly. This could be it, the moment
they waited months for. "And together we will tear down the Bending establishment!" Before he could speak any
further though, a woman's voice shouted over him, causing the two figures to turn in annoyance. The woman was
riding a big white polarbear-dog, and wearing the traditional aqua blue garb of the north and south water tribes.
"What are you talking about? Bending is the coolest thing in the world!" She yelled as her polarbear-dog snuffed in
agreement. "Oh yeah?" The protestor said, looking at her smugly. The two cloaked figures looked at each other in
disbelief. Months of listening, planning... Wasted. "Let me guess. You're a Bender." He said, pointing at her. "Yeah, I
am!" She snapped back at him. The man smiled as he gestured to her. "And I bet you'd just love to knock me off this
platform with some waterbending, huh?!" He smirked at her. "I'm seriously thinking about it!" She snapped once
more, crossing her arms. "THIS, is what's wrong with the city!" The man shouted to the crowd below him while the
two hooded figured slapped their palms against their foreheads. "Benders like THIS girl only use their powers to
oppress us!" He yelled with finality, staring at the Water Bender. The crowd turned to look at her, then began siding
with the protester, yelling insults at the Water Bender. "W-what? I'm not oppressing anyone! You... You're
oppressing yourself!" She yelled as she turned away. "That didn't even make sense!" The man yelled as the Water
Bender's polarbear-dog took off across the park, with her on it. One of the hooded figures turned to the other, his
red eyes looking up to the taller man's light blue eyes. "She's not gonna like this, Zackar." He said softly. The taller
of the two rubbed his temples in annoyance. "She doesn't like anything, Domin. Let's go. We must report our failure
immediately.
