Hot blistering sands. She wandered them. She was the Goddess of Doubt. She was Majora! Why was she confined to these eternal sands! Because, a snide voice in Majora's head said, the goddesses hate you. The only reason you're alive is because your brother pleaded for your life. That was true. Wait, Majora growled. There were people here. They spoke:

"Where are the so-called Goddesses?"

"I hate them!!!" Majora roared.

To the people it sounded like "I ate them", and so they began worshipping her.

This could work, Majora thought, I am their goddess now.

Majora twisted form into a woman-like shape, sauntered past her new worshipers, and escaped Hell. She and her followers appeared in a Stone Tower. Majora demanded this tower become the place where they worship her. They agreed. Statues of her were brought up every where. Then, the seal.

A millennia after Majora was released, a lone traveler entered the land. This confused Majora, not only because no-one came here, but because he came from the Stone Tower Temple. She watched him as he released a wave of light... WHICH FLIPPED HER TOWER OVER. Majora screeched. Now her beloved tower which descended into Hell was flipped into ascending into the heavens. Majora attacked the traveler who drew… THE BLADE OF FAITH!!

"Sister, stop, please. Don't remove faith from this world! If the world loses faith it will suffer the Apocalypse eventually. SISTER!"

The Terminans watched their Goddess battle this man. They saw him as a Dark God.

"I'm sorry, Brother but the Apocolypse will come. Everyone here doubts everything and so I grow stronger, I WILL BRING THE APOCOLYSPE!"

"But their faith in you allows me to exits here, and though their faith in you is far weaker than their doubts, I will make you see it. You will see the TRUTH!"

"Brother...(1) NO! THAT WOULD…"

"Exactly. Now… O Light of Power, Wisdom and Courage!!! Shine thy light upon me and her. Seal us both in masks. So that yonder generation will heal thy land. HOLY SEALING!!"

"Term in ans, k e e p u s t o g e t h e r… (2) Uhh."

And so, both Faith and Doubt were sealed in masks. Terminans gave the masks to their Chief Priest. The Priest used the powers of both masks to travel between worlds. He left to Hyrule where he lived as a Mask Salesmen. He, however, found he couldn't die until either Termina was destroyed or Termina was healed from its first wound. Ikana couldn't heal until Majora wished it too, and Majora was currently a mask. So while the rest of Termina got healed, Ikana couldn't, and its people were forever held within the wound. With no faith they couldn't advance into the afterlife, but nor could they live. The people who'd left Ikana in favor of the giants sent spies into it. But the curse held them there and put them in the same state of matter as the rest of Ikana.
